Unless something changed in the past few years, or the software cripples itself intentionally by default options, it definitely doesn't use all cores on drawings.

Solid works has always and will always be rubbish at large assemblies. it is time Dasault got it together and made a user friendly product. i spend half my time figuring out how to use the tool and recover from crashes rather than concentrate on the design. I have used SW from day one and i think it has got worse not better.
