Well I appreciate you watching and listening to my words. I feel its important for others, especially the youngsters to hear about the realities of incarceration to prevent them from making negative decisions. As they say; if I can get through to just one kid, I can make a difference in many lives. That's the goal my friend.

I felt that Fish. I only did one night in jail and i experienced the same exact feeling. Once that cage door locked in i spiraled into a panic realizing I had no control to get out. The anxiety was so intense i too started to look for things in the room to end it all. The only thing that got me through was seeing my 4 year old daughter playing and hearing her laughter in my mind. Having to deal with that for one night, i can only imagine what you went through and i’m sorry you had too. I don’t care how great of a mental dr you are, you don’t know how scary and serious panic and anxiety attacks are unless you have experienced one. I really hope this youtube channel catches on and sets you free. all the best.

@@22CONSERVATIVEFELONyou know, sometimes we get caught in a situation where either we accept things that we can or should overlook or go into a train of thinking that society frowns upon, there’s a multitude of reasons why people resort to violence, but unfortunately, society has a tendency to look at violence as unacceptable, the way I see it, sometimes violence is the only thing some people understand…. I say that to say this, just because you commit a violent act, doesn’t define who you are…despite your conviction, you are a good man, stand up dude

I really appreciate that descriptive comment. Yes, I do it to prevent others from subjecting themselves. When people tell me they are sorry I had to go through that, I want them to understand that I did it to myself by committing a crime in the free world, and I subjected myself to their mistreatment, subjected myself to their abuse of power, and subjected myself to their system. My message is one to 'live right' because this is what can happen when you don't, this is what will happen when you don't. I believe when people commit crimes they should be arrested. I believe if the crime is bad they should be put in prison. What kind of society would we have if this weren't the case? But, I will also agree the system is broken, a business, many things except centered around helping people change which is what we want, and need

I’m so sorry, Fish. My brother was in solitary twice, I think at Attica. He befriended a rat that would visit him every day. He would feed the rat mashed potatoes. I think it was his way of surviving. After that, he was deemed CMC. He tried to appeal, but he lost his appeal. I only know small bits and pieces about being CMC. He is CMC-A. Can you possibly do a video about what CMC is so I can understand better? I’m so grateful that you have the courage to share your stories. You have helped me greatly in understanding my brother’s situation. I’m so sorry for what you went through and my heart breaks for you. You seem like a genuinely good person.

@@philliproberts7294 Thanks man, seriously, thanks. It is something that sticks with me forever, and of course I try to keep myself composed when reliving the story. What I have to remember, and what others need to realize, is that I subjected myself to that treatment by committing a criminal act, living wrong, and not thinking when I was young. Yes, the system treated prisoners incorrectly, many were heartless, the system is abusive in many ways, but I put myself in there. I guess that's the lesson that is important to get across. That was the closest I came to taking my own life.

I worked in a jail as a deputy for two years before going to the streets and I can say there were very few days that I did not enjoy. In 2 years I never had to fight because I knew how to talk and reason with people. I wasn’t a punk and maybe there were times I was given a reason to step over the line but it was not worth it to me. There were times I would pull inmates out to talk to them but I would make it look like a medical call because I didn’t want to get them in trouble with other inmates.

I run a business, have six dogs, maintain a home, spend time with people I care about. The beach keeps me stable. :-) I enjoy the beach, going to a Broadway show here and there, and I enjoy doing landscape design, have created some amazing projects.

I am gripped by your story. I commented on a couple of your videos but this one I stopped mid-way through. Wow! You should provide an email address or something for ppl to ask questions / feedback, as a public comments section is pretty impersonal and not the place ya know... We are all going through it and ur perspective given all may really help someone (more than you do already) Keep up the "honest" good work Sir !!👊🏾

I appreciate the advice about providing an email, and it's something I will look into. I run a business right now so it's not easy, and I'm sure tons of emails may come in. I thank you for following along, and again, it is something I will look into.
