Oh!! Is this like, hiding yourself away in your room because your anxiety/depression/mental illness makes you too anxious or scared to leave, the feeling that leaving your comfort zone is too dangerous and will only cause pain? Or maybe, not wanting to present yourself to others because you don’t want to have to live up to their expectations as well?
