Wow what a gorgeous walk Patrick, lovely little hamlets with lovely houses, the walk around the Manor House what a stone wall that is, always makes me think what the builders must think if they knew there work all those years ago is still standing, keep up the great work, see you in two weeks.

Yeah the old buildings and walls are amazing the fact they are still around, although I know many of them get restored of course. Thanks Steve for watching, all the best 👍

Gorgeous country, and some very interesting history. There were parts where a walker might even imagine they were living in Offa's time. Your videos are a treasure.

When the film started with your hat and the wonderful snake gate, I thought it was an Indiana Jones movie. Some very lovely and expensive homes in that area. It sure looks peaceful. I love Offahs Dyke. I recall you going to the Devils Pulpit. Precarious with great views. That new walkway along the railway line looks fun. I imagine you would have to take a flashlight along for the tunnels. We were lucky growing up in the seventies/eighties because we had far more freedom than kids today. With friends we would catch two buses to Lyme Park and walk around there all day before catching a late bus home before it grew dark. We were twelve. No adult supervision. Those were the days and we made memories. Hard to make memories now when they are not allowed to roam. Times change. Looking forward to watching your future walks and thanks ever so much Patrick 😊

Haha yes I guess it did have a few Indiana Jones vibes at the start of this! 😂 There certainly are some very nice looking properties in the villages on this walk. Offa's Dyke Path is a childhood favourite of course. Devil's Pulpit was just over a mile away through those woods from where I left the route here. I believe there is lighting in Tidenham tunnel. but I've not walked through it myself as yet. It's great isn't it when you look back at what we did as kids, which as you say we made memories. Thanks as always Kelly for watching and for all your support. All the best 👍

At the start of Poor's Trail, the carving of that snake on the gate is most interesting, Patrick. It seems very pleasant walking across the fields and through the wood to come out and have that amazing view of the River Severn and the phenomenal bridge. The woods and across the meadows is gorgeous with further views of the Severn appearing and then that stone-walled passageway to the church appears to be unique, I'd reckon. . A very pleasant video to watch complete with the lovely weather, Patrick. Looking forward to July's videos, next. Many thanks

That snake gate was fab eh?! 😁 The open land on this walk gave great views over the Severn, so it was good to capture that. I really love that stone-walled path to the church too. Thanks as always Ffranc for watching and for your continued support 👍

Hello Patrick , anther lovely walk you do know how to pick them , I can relate to your childhood I think all of us growing in the Countryside had no thoughts of time we all just wanted to be outside , of course times have changed , safety being the big concern these days. Thank you Patrick.

The weather looked so nice for your walk. Summer seems such a long time ago now. How beautiful Tidenham Chase is. I am familiar with Offa's Dyke Path from past visits to other parts of mid-Wales. (You sounded a bit like Michael wandering off on walks alone at a young age). 😏Really like your piece of music with minor chord changes Patrick.
@solitaryrambler22 күн бұрын
Yes indeed summer seems ages ago now! 😁 Exploring these parts of Offa's Dyke Path is partly how it all began for me in the walking world. Michael told me my early wanders resonated with him 😂 Thanks Shanita for your lovely comments about my music again. Have a great weekend 👍

I thought I'd come through Tidenham Chase Patrick - that view was familiar. And yes I saw it on the Offa's Dyke. Great view of the bridge. Good to hear of your affinity with the path from an early age. Yeah, it was back in the day Patrick when they couldn't ring us eh? It felt like we had broken away. The park at the chase looks very scrub-like and somewhat wild. I don't suppose there were many youtube spotters there. Always nice. Well, good going - a lovely memory lane and walk. All the best. Mark
@solitaryrambler28 күн бұрын
Morning Mark, I guessed you would have been to Tidenham Chase as you would have been near it along Offa's Dyke. Yeah the early days of walking along Offa's Dyke, no phone, no watch, so walking for miles then realising I was home late! 😂 I thought the Park was lovely with all that scrub, very wild indeed. Funny how we get spotted by others in unexpected places 😁 Glad you enjoyed my walk down memory lane Mark. Thanks as always for watching and all the best 👍
@WyeExplorer28 күн бұрын
@@solitaryrambler Yeah, as soon as I saw that view I thought I had been there or near it Patrick. They were great days without the tech - real adventures with verbal warnings at the end of them. Ha ha! Good to hear of the parks wildness and the memories. Have a great week ahead.
