She was singing that song for her mum who was in the audience (she was the woman who was crying) which was also why Solji was crying towards the end of the song. I have never been able to get through this performance without crying myself.

The "sol" in the name of the singer "Solji (솔지 in the Korean alphabet 'hangul')" should be pronounced as the musical note "sol" as in "do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si". She is a member of the girl group EXID. React to EXID's mv's next.

I'm so happy I found this reaction! bc I think it was the same I had when I first listen to this performance. Solji here is one of the best vocalist on k-pop but it took her aprox 10 years to be recogniced as a singer, she is part of EXID but she started as a vocal trainer for the rest of the girls (bc somepeople said she was too old to debute as an idol). Thanks to the show " the king of masked singer" (where she won the crown as the first king) she started to shine on her own. EXID is a great group, but is underrrated bcs they sexy concept (but those girls, have great and different voices), Solji is the actual leader but sadly she is on hiatus due to health problems. I agree...she has a beautiful voice and her version of 'As I live (Saldaga)' is really good. But for me this song for ever is connected with Kim Jin Ho. This song in itself is very sad, and Solji brought me almost to tears. But his performance - btw one of the best live-performances I know - makes my heart bleeding.

Her voice is beautiful! If you like great vocals, I'd love to see you react to some performances from *Fantastic Duo* or *King of Masked Singer* which are Korean TV shows. FD is a show where people send in videos of them singing and if they get chosen, they get to perform a duo onstage with a superstar. RM was on it once but my favorite is the one with Taeyang (from Big Bang). KOMS is a show where famous singers are disguised and compete solely on vocal skills. Jungkook from BTS was on it once.

Lol “white thicc boi from Ohio”, I love how with bts it’s almost like there is no stereotypical fan. They said themselves that they were surprised to see everyone from a small age to elders in the crowds at their concerts and enjoying themselves. Also, this was my first time listening to this or even seeing Solji and my reaction was basically the same as yours 😭🙏🏻 P.S.
