like wonik said, gwanhee acted differently when he’s with hyeseon and other girl. that’s because gwanhee really has genuine feelings for hyeseon, not because he’s matching the other person’s vibes. i don’t know why but i feel like until now gwanhee kinda denying his own feelings and not fully realizing + accepting how much he likes hyeseon 🤧 anyway despite everything happened, i hope they’re still in a good and respectful relationship like hyeseon said on her clarification post ✨

( ⚠SUPER LONG POST INCOMING LOL BE WARNED! ⚠) so to my knowledge, they never actually dated and quickly decided post show that it would be too hard to work out. they tried to jokingly hash it out in the months post filming, but given his training schedule and her studies abroad, it was not feasible. both hyeseon and gwanhee have clarified this in their videos and on their insta posts. however, 100% they maintain a good rapport and respect each other, and we may even see them reunite in the future! i highly doubt they'll ever be in a relationship, but who knows. the kinship and flirty comments def show that they still have a playful affection for each other. but again, they never actually dated and I personally don't think they ever will. as for wonik and hyeseon, from what I know, they have actually dated a bit, but not seriously. just like hanging out and texting & phone calls, etc. that's why there's always been a bit of playful rivalry and tension between him and gwanhee-- even on the island, actually. gwanhee was always very territorial of hyeseon, to the point where the other men felt they couldn't approach her. especially bc they respected him and prob a few of them even knew he's older than them and that he's a famous athlete (bc most guys watch sports, let's be honest.) not to mention gwanhee has very much leadership energy. like every time in a group setting, he acts like he's their leader u must obey: even in this video, but def on the island that "respect your elder" sense was established. (I don't mean this as an insult to him whatsoever btw, bc u can tell the guys def like him! but u can't deny that there is def an obvious power dynamic at play, and that they always defer to him. whatever he says, they tend to do without question, and they always follow his lead. even in conversations, he always starts them. think about how on the island when they were going to play a drinking game, wonik was going to suggest something but after gwanhee interrupted him and asked if they could play a game HE likes, they all acquiesced without question.) as for why wonik and hyeseon didn't really ever date, it's also mostly bc of her being in the uk studying and how busy she is, but also bc of public opinion (since most of the internet is team gwanhee-hyeseon and even wonik's playful video w her got a lot of hate from the extreme shippers, esp bc some idiots took gwanhee's half-joking jealous comments seriously... which is so dumb 🙄 like the fact that gwanhee had to make that video telling ppl to chill out is so frustrating, bc he shouldn't have had to.) so even tho the show is over and the fake "threat" of gwanhee is no longer looming, no one from the island is really dating now, and they kinda all applied for fun and exposure more than an actual serious relationship. most of them DID come with the best of intention, HOPING a relationship could come out of it, but not necessarily thinking that would was realistic. lol. and again, I don't think gwanhee would care much if hyeseon & wonik did date at this point, I just think it would be hard for him to be super supportive, given his competitive nature. (he hides it behind the humor, but as an athlete, he def means it. it's obvious in his personality traits.) also, even if he wasn't the jealous type, no one likes when your friend dates someone you once liked. it's a bit taboo. moreover, wonik seems selfless and very principled, so I don't think he would step on toes unless he knew 100% that gwanhee was ok with it... wonik made that very apparent on the island by being quite passive towards both sieun and hyeseon lol. I rly think it's bc unlike gwanhee, he's not naturally competitive, so being proactive when there are other men involved makes him uncomfortable. that's why it was only when he was alone w sieun, did he express his jealousy. and even then, it took him forever & made him uncomfortable to say. his way of driving a wedge between minwoo and sieun was not by being assertive and marking his territory like some of the other contestants did, but rather by just trying to spend as much solo time w sieun as possible to win her affections and "steal her time." so yeah, I highly doubt wonik & hyeseon will ever date either, or at least not publicly, bc they've now seen how the internet reacted after a simple friendly video they made. they also may not have felt more of a kinship than romance as they expressed a few times on the island, altho it was obvious there's been some chemistry recently. esp on wonik's end. (her energy with him is more platonic imo, altho I understand some may see it otherwise from how playful and touchy she is, but I really think that's just her cheerful nature! when she really likes someone, her caretaking and flustered side comes out more. she's never had that with wonik.) on his end, I think on the island he def was focused on sieun, and liked hyeseon platonically, but looking back, he feels different and regrets some of his decisions. I honestly believe his feelings for hyeseon aren't "attention seeking bc of her current popularity" but out of real regret for not having pursued someone more compatible with him, that he sees a lot of charms in now. he truly seems to be attracted to her, and acts naturally but can still take the lead and flirt, when gwanhee isn't around. so all in all, I think both wonik & hyeseon are just friends, and didn't expect ppl to go SO insane after they made that video and come after them. they really just did it for fun and entertainment for the viewers. and tbh I don't get some of the public's reaction either, like yes gwanhee is fun and entertaining and had serious feelings for hyeseon for sure, and it was cute, but it wasn't real life! and they're not dating. she can do whatever she wants! she doesn't owe him ANY loyalty, esp after how he behaved all throughout the show. and show aside, I genuinely believe she deserves better and I think having watched the footage back and how much of a player he was and how immature he can be at times-- despite his sincerity and apologies-- she knows that too. bc she's a chick who knows her worth. tbh, with how busy she is with her studies now and having fun, she's prob just not really focused on either gwanhee or wonik lol, bc she's just enjoying her single life in the UK and trips back home, as well as all the exposure & attention this show has given her! as she should ☺ her focus rn is more on self-growth, studying for her degree, furthering her career, and doing fun interviews and photoshoots.... omg jesus sorry for this fucking essay LOL these are all just my thoughts! i do have a bit of insider knowledge from a contact but I don't know any of them personally, so it's still hearsay and word of mouth. pls nobody take it personal or take me too serious bc again it was just a show for fun! & these are just my speculations based on my knowledge, and my observations from the info we have. truthfully, no one from the show -- including gyuri and minji who I know are getting some unwarranted hate due to stupid sexist double standards -- deserves any hate bc again, remember: we don't know these people. and im saying that even tho I wasn't a fan of minji's behavior on the show at all, or how gyuri scolded minwoo in the end. they're still human, they're still ppl, and they already feel bad for what they did and how they acted, so leave it alone. the backlash they're getting is underserved. also, everyone makes mistakes. why do we put ourselves on a pedestal just bc our actions aren't filmed 24/7? it's not fair, even if they "signed up for it." healthy criticism or judgment is one thing, but cursing and death threats and name calling is another. (unless they'd crossed some HUGE line, which really none of them did.) btw i wrote so much simply bc i tend to write a lot very fast, and it's a sunday so im apparently super bored 😅anyways thank you to anyone who read this whole thing lol u deserve a cookie 🍪💖

선수가 운동만 잘하는 시대는 갔다. 더군다나 비인기 종목인 농구에서. 야구,농구 둘다 국제경쟁력없이 못함 엘지트윈스 구독자 22만, 엘지세이커스 2만(이관희 솔지 출연전). 기본10배차이나는데 시장 파이를 키우는데 제대로 한 몫햇는데 뭐가 그리 불만들인지 그냥 지선수들보다 인기많아지는게 배아파서 그런건가
