Solo ATV Camping: New Hot Tent, Giant Rib Eye, M.S.S, Beers & I Crash My Drone.

Hey ! In this video I head out with my dog Wendell, for a solo overnight wild camping trip in the Caledonia Mountain area of New Brunswick, Canada.
We find a beauty spot by the river, I set up and test a new tent that was sent to me by Pomoly And a new sleeping bag (US M.S.S).
We cook up a big ass Rib Eye, drink some cold beers and get some nice shots with my Drone.

Looked like a nice camping trip except for the drone. I camp out here in the deserts of Arizona whenever I can and enjoy the solitude and sky view. The only real danger are the occasional rattlesnake and brushing up against any of the multiple varieties of cactus (ouch). On the upside I almost never have to worry about rain or finding dry firewood. I just found your show and enjoy it very much. Take care and have fun.

I like your videos my dog loves camping and riding in my RZR. I have to keep him on a leash. He weighs about 10lbs. Here in Idaho USA we have a lot of predators. He would be an easy meal.

Hey ! thanks man !! That's amazing, I'm sure you will have a blast. Only tips I'll give ya for your first trip is 1) Don't Overpack (which you will do anyway, and every time haha) and 2) Don't go too far away, its different at night, our natural instinct is to be scared, which is heightened when everything goes dark. (still happens to me) so if you end up changing your mind, having the option to get back to your truck/house is always nice. my friend Manzinoman did that very thing his first ATV Camping trip (he left it in his video too, you should check it out) Good channel and super nice guy. Ahhhh we dont have much flies from like September to May. but in the spring it's bad, ususally bad black flies, then they die down a bit, but then the Mosquitoes come out in force, then they die down to normal then in the heat of the summer we get the Deer/Moose flies, the ones that take a good bite out of ya, sometimes even make you bleed haha they usually stick around until the colder nights start.

I remember seeing the msr hubba hubba tent in 1 of your videos. I was looking at getting a tent for some overnight atv camping and was wondering how you liked it. Oh man it's my favorite tent ! it's very high quality (and a high price tag) but it was worth it in my mind. it's super waterproof and if you want to see if in the most harsh conditions you should check out Justin barbour, the Newfoundland explorer. he uses it on all his trips and he does Insane long back country trips, he's on like a 70+ day trip right now, check him out, tell him I sent ya haha thats great man, thats part of the reason I made a channel, to hopefully inspire more people to get out and enjoy it. I keep looking at those kettles, but they seem inefficient as they can't nest with other cookware. Do you have any videos showing your cook gear and how it's packed?

Hey man, no I dont have a video on it, but with the kettle I like to kep all my spices, coffee and stuff inside of it when I travel. I dont have a lot of cookware honestly. Notrmally just cook over the fire with my grill, maybe I'll bring a frying pan, coffee cup.... and my kettle. and I like papaer plates so I can just burn them after I eat haha

Hey man ! I find cool spots by just exploring with my ATV, then drop Pin's on google maps or my POlaris Ride command app. then I find others while hiking, or driving my truck. plus google maps is a great tool for that.

Great video man. Sorry about your drone, I feel your pain as I crashed one in the water last June and lost it completely. Contact DJI and let them know what happened. They can examine your flight tracks to see if there was an error. They will replace it for you if it's still under warranty. You sure know how to eat when you're out camping!

Hey Buddy ! thank you, I haven't had any leaks with it, of course if you were to submerge it, it would probably let water in, but when I was my machine with the pressure washer, I usually only have a few drops that get inside.

Poor Wendell. They do make rain coats for dogs we had one for our yorky. She hated rain. So with the tent and no floor does the water creep in under the tent? Just curious

Hey man ! I see you commented on a few of my vidoes, thanks so much ! Yeah he doesn't care about the rain when hes running or anything just when on the ATV he doesn't like it in his face. I do have goggles for him now you can see in newer videos to protect his eyes. I havent had that issue as of yet, the tent does come with the inner tent which has a floor and a bug net for summer use, I just choose not to bring it. personal preference I guess.

Hey Jesse ! thats awesome to hear man, it's a lot of fun. Oh yeah Im always worried about that stuff, and with Wendell being small, he's an easy target for lynx, bob cat, coyote... And his breed is a dominant breed (Terrier) so he thinks hes bigger than he is.... so Im worried he will go after a bear, or even a Raccoon.... it wouldn't be good.

@@Maritimer one thing I like about it is that it sends your track out every 10 minutes. So if something were to happen and you were incapacitated or whatever your loved ones could still see your last location. Nice peace of mind.

I just checked my DJI Mavic mini 2 manual. Look at page 18 I think. They talk about what the sensors may have problems with and clear water is one of the problem areas.

Hey Mike ! as said below, I think with water the sensors can get Eff'd up a bit.... I was glad mine still works, only thing I lost was a battery.
