Many of you know my “spray bottle journey,” where I was in constant pursuit of finding a quality sprayer bottle I felt would work best for us. Let me throw in here that the quest will never end.
Well, look at us now. I’m carrying more than just the Pressol bottles; I now have Marolex and Solo. I never planned to have multiple bottles, but after using the other ones, I realized they serve a purpose - mainly to increase productivity, and not to mention that the Solo sprayer is freaking cool.
Grab one or two of these Solo sprayers just to test them out. These are not replacing my Pressols; they’re complimenting them.

I own two of those. I use one for rinseless wash and the other for IPA. The beauty of those sprayers is the heads are standard thread size so you can easily unscrew it attach it to any bottle that has standard size threading, spray it and what I do is put it back on the IPA spray a little IPA through it and it's clean as a whistle. You simply don't need one for each product

I’ve been using the Solo sprayer for about 7 months now with P & S Brake Buster for the wheels & tires and love it. When I use a manual spray bottle for this application outdoors in windy conditions, the fine mist created usually ends up blowing back in my face. The Solo sprayer can be adjusted to eliminate this problem.

Do you rinse the Solo out after using it with Brake Buster or has it held up fine? That's exactly what I wanted to use it for, I can't stand most bottles that any iron remover/wheel acid come in. I just figured those cleaners would eat at the seals or tubing.

Excellent, I just purchased one and used it with my DIY detail rinseless . went around the car to prespray with rinesless. and did my usual rinseless with my bucket and sponge. after I was done I put away my battery operated 2 gallon sprayer and my marolex pump sprayer. this one liter solo sprayer was plenty to soak my entire Toyota camry. quick, easy and convenient.

Matt I got mine about a year and a half ago I’ve been screwing around with it the only downfall I don’t like is there’s no battery charge light indicator on my first unit I didn’t realize it but the cord that came with it must’ve broken somewhere inside it and I didn’t realize until I got my second unit and I have no way of knowing if the first one was charging or not because there’s no dang indicator light!

I bought 8 of these last year for $30 a pop. It was a chunk of change, sure, but the flexibility of these sprayers are pretty much unbeatable (right now). Are they worth $40-$50 a piece … I gotta be honest, they are. Pro’s: Lightweight Battery powered Button trigger Holds just enough product to be useful Somehow, you use less product Atomizes excellent Spray at any angle you like Sprays pretty much anything thinner than spray wax 75% drop safe (on spray head) Semi-transparent Labels stick on and stay on Con’s: Acid based liquid can clog nozzle if not cleaned out A bit expensive Since I’m still being honest, I have to admit that I don’t use all 8 sprayers. I use 4, sometimes 5 but mainly 4. Wheel & tire cleaner, rinseless wash, drying aid and window cleaner. I have one other that I use for thinned down tire dressing but not very often. The other 3 got sent to the house where my wife implements them for cleaning products and watering plants … and then she has one sitting empty in our kitchen cabinets. I don’t think you’ll need more than 4 or 5 and at $40 each that’s $200 BUT here’s the sales pitch … these sprayers don’t fail. Period. They’re virtually bullet proof unless you’re an idiot. If you’re an idiot, pass on these please. Anyway, I use these daily (literally daily) and I’m telling you from experience that they do NOT last a week. It’s more like 9-10 days before they need charging. These sprayers are light and have a super easy button trigger. Your fingers and forearms do not cramp up and you’re not constantly pumping. Like I said, I use them every day and the batteries have not degraded and the nozzles are still atomizing like new. It’s been almost a year since I bought them. Clean them out every once in a while and don’t try to run them over and I think you’ll be good to go … for a good long while. EDIT: I do own Marolex, IK and a few other pump sprayers. I have dozens of other trigger sprayers. I no longer use most of them, although I still have a Tolco that I use for acid cleaner. 😊😊😊

@@matthewchaston1218 Matt usually oversells products he believes in … usually. These Solo sprayers, he’s kind of underselling them for what they bring to the table … in my opinion. They’re just one of those things that you don’t know you want or need until you use them. After you use them, you’ll literally understand almost immediately. Within a few days, I retired 99% of my sprayers for auto detailing. Yes, even on the interior where I thought it’d be too much, nope … perfect. Pump sprayers are great, don’t get me wrong. Hell, even trigger sprayers are fine. They all have a useful purpose. However, after 30 years in this business, these Solo sprayers check all the boxes for me. I don’t see me going backwards to anything else, just as I’m not going to go back to a $20 flip phone. While they ARE a bit on the pricey side, they more than make up for it in versatility and huge wear and tear reduction on the body. You don’t have to take my word for it, you don’t have to take Matt’s word for it. Buy 1 for $40 and use it for a week and tell me you don’t love it. If you hate it, I’ll buy it off you.
@matthewchaston1218

@@Reaper-Jim Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking too. Once I use them I will wonder to myself why I didn't get them sooner. I could see them being very practical for interior cleaners as well. I think sprayer bottles, pump sprayers, and electric sprayers all have a place in detailing. Great analogy too with the flip phone. They are not cheap but if they lasT, are good build quality, and enhance the user experience then the value is there. I will buy them and try them for myself. Happy to support OG and give new products like this a try. Thanks again for your insight and help, it's much appreciated.

Can it hold hot water? Is there any model you know of that does not require me to constantly hold a button or trigger, or has a lock trigger option (similar to what we are used to at the gas pump so we don't have to physically hold the button continuously ) (this is for medical student training application and first responder application's in the field, like burn victims,)

@flolou8496
@flolou8496 7 ай бұрын
Well that's more than enough, it needs to be like hot shower temperature, but as far as the style that's best, we need it more like the way painters use one, with them not required to hold the trigger in place, even ones that are battery operated would be OK, but the environment they would be used like on fire rescue scenes can be kind of wet and we can't have electrical battery danger issues, are we stuck with pump only type? KIM: This niche problem involve thousands of units yearly so they need to be of good quality,

Unfortunately this 460 version of the Solo Battery sprayer appears to be hot garbage. On the spray head, where the tiny little screws are, both of my units developed cracks and both eventually collapsed there and were rendered pretty much completely useless and i wasn't rough on them or anything like that at all. A shame because they were awesome to use and their standardized threads made them easy to use on pretty much any spray bottle you fancied. I'm definitely willing to give the 260s a shot though since the concept itself is just too good. I'm pretty sure they've learned from their mistakes and made it durable this time around.

@@ObsessedGarage The purpose of a review is to show the product’s strengths and/or weaknesses, based off personal experiences. Amazon (or other places) are no different … you may not agree with them but that’s irrelevant. Yes, some (or maybe even most) reviews can be jaded by personal grievances towards shipping damage or cost/speed, price hikes, availabilities and so on. But generally you can get a fairly good feel for the product based on reviews. I think it’s disingenuous to consider reviews on Amazon only for “idiots” when we all know YOU use them too. Yeah, about that … I mean, it kinda is what it is. You (like the rest of us) have to be smart enough to weed through the paid and/or shill reviews to get to those who’ve actually used the product. I agree that it’s not the best way to base your decisions and should never be the sole source, but it’s useful in its own way … in my opinion. I’m not trying to be argumentative, I just share a different opinion. 😊😊😊
