Solo Bikepacking Across Hokkaido - Japan - Extreme North - PART 3

Cycling and camping through Bifuka, Horonobe, Toyotomi and Wakkanai before I headed back South towards Sapporo. The North offered better weather and a different kind of beauty. I have more footage so there will be one more episode!

It does, crazy right? All of the motorcycle and bicycle tourers take the ferry though.

@ the silly bags required on trains is a pain. Wish it was like the UK with bike carriages

@@teleskierjapan it is a pain, I definitely recommend bringing one with you if you're planning on taking the train or bus at all. It was really hard and not cheap to find one for me.

Did you do any wild camping or is it stricly forbidden? :)

It's not forbidden at all in Hokkaido, but there are just so many cheap and free campgrounds that there is really no point in wild camping, unless you want the experience. Lots of bears and foxes so you gotta' prepare for that.
