Excelente...

Thanks for sharing! Planning on doing this over New Years eve!! Question, how did you get the bus to pick you up when you came down? I want to do it my self but the biggest intimidators is navigating the public transport to get from Antigua to Soledad and back once done to Antigua. Any advice here? Otherwise, would love to camp it without a tour!

Hey Shervin, thank you for the video! I also have a couple of questions. Why was the registration booth closed - was it a particular day or hour of the day? And, how much water would you recommend? Are there refill sites on the way? Keep up the good work, just gained a subscriber!

Hey Stefanos! Tbh, I'm not sure why yhr registration booth was closed. That was actually the second time I summited Acatenango. The first time I paid. As for water, your body does up more because of the altitude. You also sweat a lot in the earlier parts which are hot and humid. I would say 4 liters to be safe. Drinking water also helps you acclimatize with the altitude. And if you do happen to need to take an altitude sickness pill, then you need to drink more water as well. Thanks for subscribing!

Mate, isn't it dangerous to travel across that region by yourself? Also, can you hike to knifes edge by yourself?

Great video and fantastic photos. Couple of questions for you: 1) how cold does it get overnight? And 2) what focal length did you use for the volcano eruption shots?

Thank you! It depends on the cloud coverage but it's usually around 2-8 degrees Celsius I think. I have a sleeping bag rated for 0 degrees Celsius and I was comfortable with it and with a thermal layer and sweater. As for the volcano, it was between 30 mm and 70 mm. It's quite close!
