I went camping in the heavy rain.
It was difficult to set up a big tent alone.
I didn't give up.
I had a delicious dinner listening to the sound of rain.

I live in Iowa USA now. I used to live in North Carolina where it pours down rain like you have. we used to take hand made boats and travel on the swamp river, sometimes for weeks. water beneath and above! we camped under tarpolines. when it got cold a bunch of us would get into one sleeping bag! wow. we also had jungle hammocks for when the mosquitoes got thick. so much fun.

Congratulations ! I would have give up several times. I could not camp because of the covid since 3 years but your demonstration gives me the taste to enjoy it again next summer. I'm from Northern California. I just returned from camping at the beach. My first night it was super windy and I struggled to get my 1 person tent up in the wind. It was a blustery night but my tent stayed up. The 2nd night was calm winds. Yesterday I rented a kayak and paddled around the bay. It was lovely.
