Dearest Chriis, Great stories, Chris!!! They're spooky, yet believable and intertwined amidst the history you're otherwise featuring here and discussing- gosh, I love it!!! Ya know, you have such a cool, relaxing way about yourself and I really admire how you carry yourself, Chris! Thank you for your entertaining videos and please continue to be careful and safe out there!! And, yes, I and I'd guess countless others who subscribe to you and watch your videos have an affinity for campfires and will gladly join you for any and all you'll have planned!!! I love the crackle and pop of the twigs amid the fire, the glow, and everything about them. And having your wonderful stories told around such campfires during a video, as you touched on as a possible future goal (I think you did, anyways!! Ha ha!) around the middle of this current video, is always a great idea, I got to believe, Chris, my friend! You got me desiring a long hike in the wilderness with my girlfriend, soon, and I think we're going to do just that! As I live in Pennsylvania, a very good place hiking, I feel; for whether it's a level of mountains you want, rivers & streams, and/or just beautifully forested wildernesses one wants, or, in-fact, a dose of varied terrain, the state of Pennsylvania has it all. And, sadly, I have not taken advantage of it. I think it's time I do so. I'll tell you all about it once we finally commit and set of on the endeavour. Thank you for both sparking my interests and making both my girlfriend and I smile when we watch you late at night. Your viewers forever appreciate you, Chris!! Long live Base Camp Chris. Be safe, always!!! Quite sincerely, Martin B.

Real life ghost stories and cooking to boot! I find it so cool you had photography exhibits for your work with wild horses. I know in the past you had a camping trip where you got close to some, maybe next summer you could do the same again and share your tricks for the perfect photograph. Cooking skills, photography skills, camping skills and story telling skills, this is one of the most complete you tube channels out there. Chris you have done well and I truly look forward to every video you post. Stay safe and cheers.

Hey Chris, enjoying your channel. Fairly new subscriber. I heard you mention Virginia City and the Pine Nuts and that there are no predators. I lived in Reno for five years and left about a year and a half ago. From everything I ever heard l, there are absolutely bears and mountain lions in both areas that you mentioned. Maybe you’re a local and know a lot more than me, but I just wanted to put it out there in case you hadn’t heard that. I lived in Northwest Reno and there were regularly mountain lions and bears in peoples backyards in that area. It was bananas and also very cool! Be careful!

I love how you said real ghost stories because it is real I believe it's more real than the fake believe make believe"reality" we're all taught growing up in this country. We are all lied to and they get their hands on us at the young age of five or six and start feeding us these lies and then you can order and realize it's all nothing but a bunch of bull crap stored in your head and you pretty much have to learn the truth by your own experiences.

Wild horses! That's fascinating that they are still around! In the desert one can really sense the past - it's like a bunch of cowboys are going to come riding along any moment... who knows maybe there are time portals, where the past and the present come together. The ghost stories are great, I love true ghost stories!

Funny you mention cameras at Walmart, I haven't been to Walmart for several years and decided to head to my local one to restock fishing supplies I finally ran out of and omg it must be where I live or if this is a California thing I don't know 😅 Anyways I went to the sporting good department and literally everything was locked up behind glass and there was a button to push for getting assistance and I needed things from 6 different areas throughout the cases the employee helping me held onto everything I needed and carried everything to the front checkout even though I wasn't ready to checkout yet. I couldn't believe it. Love your videos I plan on visiting several national forests this year and doing some backpacking, hiking, fishing, dispersed camping in complete solitude, something I've never done before and am very excited to pursue. I'm 31 and never done anything like this before, you're videos give me new ideas/tips plus inspiration to get out there and go have an adventure. Thank you.

Sounds like fun Chris! I visited Virginia City as well as Nevada City in the summer of 2016. WOW! First of all, it was hotter than Hades. You couldn't walk more than 20 ft. when you needed to sit down and drink a bottle of water. Loved the area. I stayed two days and nights and really wish I could have stayed longer, but had to move on. I did visit an evening performance that concerned some parts of its history in the local theatre which was haunted, however, nothing happened. Thank you for the story.

Ok dude, lol, I'm new to your channel and have been binge watching, you are a great story teller. When camping with friends you need good people to be with that can hold a conversation, lol, so I'm down on the Arizona, Mexican border by Ruby Az, ghost town, we have a wide range of wild life, from mountain lion, wild pigs, black dears, plus all kinds of insects that bite... My wife and I love your channel and think you are most excellent camping partner, so if you ever get down to Arizona, come to Rio Rico , that's were our house is, up in the mountains, we would love to take you to Ruby, it's a old mining town with a wild west past, so you have new life long friends here in Arizona... Plus keep up what you are doing and please keep safe, don't want to see a video about you missing ,lol, well buddy I'm back to your videos... 💯👍💯👌
