Thanks for watching! In Michigan there aren’t too many big animals to be concerned about. There’ve been reports of Mountain Lions, but not in large numbers. There’s a good chance you can see black bears in the UP, but where I was in Lower Michigan there’s really not too much to be concerned about.

What type of backpacking stove do you have? Everyone loves jetboils but sourcing their fuel seems like a pain

Yeah I've never used a Jetboil, but I've been really happy with the stove I have! It's an off-brand Jetboil, I think I bought it at a Dunhams, but there are a few alternatives on amazon (a.co/d/3tMgIuE).
