Such a prime spot to luck out with a cancellation. I grew up in Melbourne, but have lived on the Gulf coast since 1976. I miss those incredible sunrises even though we have amazing sunsets. I like that you only camp for short times, you make car camping seem like something I could do in the nicer months

I definitely did!! I wish I could take some longer trips again, but for now it's definitely worthwhile getting out for quick trips to recharge my internal battery and get my nature therapy in!

It's definitely been a bit chilly lately! This was actually the east coast/Atlantic side, btwn Ormond Beach and St Augustine - we still get blessed with some beautiful colors at sunset over the ocean without the actual sun on that side, but wait till you see the sunrise in the morning! 😍

I reserved one of the RV/tent spots, but the tent only section is decent too (it just doesn't have and sites directly overlooking the lake, but it is close to the showers/bathhouse and right when you enter the campground. I also felt like the tent only section was a little congested if full)
