You made really good use of the primer. It makes a nice contrast to the layering. It's satisfying to paint; tonight I spent 3 hours painting 1 out of 4 mini-guns for my Stormsurge. Layering takes a lot of time but the end result is very appealing to the eyes. Cheers on the nice Ork! A lovely paint-job; glhf painting.
