I’m definitely working at a spa first to gain experience. I think this is the smartest move

@@ChandaliTheEsthetician do you make sure the spa that you was going to would let you take the clients beforehand ? Or did you just get lucky?
@ChandaliTheEsthetician Жыл бұрын
I made sure I could when I first started …when I interviewed they were like any clients you make they can go with you but when it actually came time for me to leave they’re weren’t the happiest about it but I told them they don’t own people if they people want to know where I’m going when I’m leaving I’m going to tell them it’s their choice

I appreciated the outlook on working in a spa! Its apart of the process! You grow from it, evolve, as you should, can build your own establishment! And your words about not rushing and building that financial blanket is a breathe of fresh air! Loving the transparency🙌🏾❤️

Thank you Bre! I just wanted to share my own experience because I know that the goal for many of us is to become our own boss however there are stepping stones to that journey and that’s why I share my story! I’m so glad you are apart of it! Thank you for your kindness!!!

Thank you for sharing, I plan to work somewhere else before opening my own business but the job offered wants me to sign a 2 yr contract. What do you think about it?
@ChandaliTheEsthetician Жыл бұрын
I would try to avoid a contract 2yrs is a long time. I personally wouldn’t take it, but if you are thinking of taking it I would truly try to make sure sure you negotiate like could you sign 1 year. What’s the reason for the contract, what happened to their last employees, what are they doing now, how many miles does the contract cover and what is the benefit for you to to sign.

How did you find your suite ? Is it like one of those Phoenix or sola suites ?
@ChandaliTheEsthetician Жыл бұрын
It’s called a Soho Salon, it’s a lil like a sola salon. I just kept looking months before I found a place just comparing cost and commute and I landed in this lil gem 💎

Hey Lauren! I wouldn’t say my towel are the softest but I also don’t press super hard so idk but I do know them school towels can be a lil scratchy. @@ChandaliTheEsthetician that would be awesome! I live in Texas and looking to move back to the Houston area. I’ve been researching a couple of spas over there. I work full time and afraid to fully quit my full time job knowing there will be a pay cut for a while. Thank you so much for sharing! 🤍

An 66 clients yesssss queen that’s awesome!! ❤ an I think imma start at a small spa first because I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m eager to learn. I don’t want to make a mistake. I think 3 months is a good ideal to get some experience. An here in Florida it’s like 900-1220 for a space it’s so expensive that’s just rent not all the extra stuff. I saw a girl on Instagram selling all of her spa stuff an she deactivated her business page. I’m like omg 😮

Ohhhhh the male wax girllll it took me time but just think of it as any other area but more lose skin.
@ChandaliTheEsthetician Жыл бұрын
Yes I left with several clients and I worked there about 10 months so not quite a year but pretty close!!! I learned so much, you will make mistakes but better to do it on someone’s dime that ain’t yours. Yes the rent there is crazy but should be able to charge more as well I’m not sure but yes really plan before you head out on your own take your times there’s no need to rush.
