Cool strat for newbies, but I'd say that replacing the Crook Boss with DJ will be a better choice, since the minigunners, mili-base and turrets are already doing the job of a dps, and the reason you struggled so much despite spamming airstrikes the whole game and playing on a very easy map is because either due to a lack of range or eco, both of which the DJ will fix.
