Carolyn, I tell you, everyone seems very stressed at this point. Like, way extra stressed. I am finding it doesn’t help as much as it normally did, to get my introvert-mandated quiet time. The stress doesn’t seem to subside. Of course, I’ve had the fires and smoke to deal with on top of everything else. It really is relentless. The confusion and switching of what is open and where it’s better or worse and on and on... I wish you some serious peace and quiet going forward. I know this video was a month ago already. Who know what we are dealing with now! Stay strong. -Suzanna

I actually went through Colorado and Leadville a few weeks ago. It was packed with people. One sporting goods place had people lines out the door and on the sidewalk. Too busy for me. I'm shocked about fireworks as I thought they had a statewide ban on any fire. Colorado is a beautiful state. Glad you enjoyed your summer.

I grew up on the road, but my parents did everything back then. Them both being gone now, I still have a lot to learn. I've been looking at nomadic living for a few years now. Started with Elsa & Baron (Scamp). Then stumbled onto Bob's channel & now yours. I've dumped a lot of channels too! I've learned the most from those that are 'honest & fair about the lifestyle. No sugar coating, but not excessively negative either. I've only been out solo once & it was so peaceful! At 48, I can't remember the last time I felt that. I still have a few more years, my youngest is 13. But I'm learning what I can now. People like yourself have been so very helpful. I'm heading out tomorrow for another short BD trip. Wish me luck. Thank you for sharing your story.

Heather Coffman we always pick up after our dog. I don’t understand people who don’t. And leaving human feces and t paper is just disgusting (says the former EMT). I think I would probably dig a big cathole with my spade and bury that.

Good morning Carolyn, I wonder if farmers have some kind of link you could find and be able to clean camp on the cheap in seclusion. All farms with acreage must have access for tractors, dirt roads to pastures etc. And since they are private property, no crowds....just a thought. 🤗

You need to check Sadie's water bowl more often, it was empty for what seemed like a long time in that heat, can you find a way to tie it to the camper's front bumper so it's in the shade and so she can't knock it over. I have 2 spin top lock barrels for garbage containment for human and dog waste. I have a good deodorant/disinfectant to add, lowering the smell. Due to wildlife, the barrels would need to be inside versus outside. Two weeks hold instead of weekly will be a change. How do people hold their trash in minimal space? It doesn’t seem to be discussed very much.

Solitude! It’s what helps me thrive. Just bought a tow vehicle, next comes a smallish or a bit larger lightweight travel trailer. I’m retired but need to get rid of my house and a lot of possessions and just enjoy a less entangled life in nature. I’ve previously had 2 tries at part time RV life but this time I want to live in my RV with my books and pets and I have a partner, too, but I like solitude. Your life seems joyful and balanced. One of my biggest pet peeves! Noise at a camp spot! People go out into the forest and blast music??? I go to the forest to hear birds, wind through the trees, limbs creeking, bugs cherping! Silence! Fireworks cause fires in the forest! Noise chases the deer and coyote away! Music disrupts the brain! Stay home if you are going to be disruptive in nature! "Nobody wants you here!"

Brake hose looks in tact and not leaking. caliper may have blown... if it smells putrid..blown axle seal. Keep eye on brake fluid level. If brake pedal sinks...leaking caliper or hose..Been a tech for 30+ years.. If pedal sinks clamp off that brake hose so you don't lose fluid
