That's a lovely cycle route with those great views👍. By the way, your cycle helmet is too high up on your forehead.........correct way to wear one is for the brimof your helmet to be just above your eyebrows (about the width of one finger) so that the helmet covers most of the forehead and therefore protects it. Last time that I fell off my bike (way before I got an electric one) was when I was cycling up a hill and very determined to get to the top. However, I was travelling slower and slower until my legs finally gave up and I came to an abrupt standstill, then before I could get my feet on the ground, the bike and myself toppled over to the side of the road and fell in the ditch ........needless to say the first thing that I did was to make sure that no one (apart from my friend) saw me topple over 🤣. Fortunately the ditch wasn't full of mud 🙂
@CamperVanya2 жыл бұрын

Well done on getting an even better pitch! Even if you did have to wait till 11am for it! Love that view towards Ravenscar! I would have laughed if you had to ting us on the Cinder Track, mind you we always courteously walk single file so other users can get past! They have been improving the track in random places. There is a bit between Ravenscar and Cloughton thats been resurfaced and a bit between Whitby and Hawsker thats been resurfaced and widened very recently! No rhyme or reason as to which bit they will do next though! Ah stopped at that bench many times! Great mention of the town that never was! We haven’t tried the fish box yet, were they good? Looked decent ♥️ it really is a steep climb back up that hill! Ah Sue, you have been in the wars, would love to have seen your stylish stunt roll! A lager and paracetamols can fix any aches and pains! Lovely timelapse and music accompaniment! 👍

After Patrick died our friends in England that we used to meet up for our anniversary in Wales tried to get me to do a similar get-together and avoiding Wales they arranged Whitby but I couldn't go - waaaaaaay too soon. They've carried on the meet-ups at the end of August each year since and I still haven't gone, but seeing your images of Robin Hood Bay and surrounding areas maybe I should try next year. ❤ You ALWAYS seem to find a good chip shop! I hear what you say about getting better at being out about solo, sadly I am not there - I was in Birmingham in August and tried to push myself to go into somewhere to sit and eat food but couldn't quite do it, ended up with a sandwich from Tesco and a seat on a wall! Hi Janice sorry for your own loss. I’m glad to hear that you’re also getting out there in your van too. I’m currently limited in how long I can go away for just at the moment but definitely will consider further afield when the opportunity arises. Certainly France to start with. Have you been to Europe in your van yet?

Thanks for the reply. No I haven’t been across the channel I’m a bit hesitant as I worry about the steering wheel being on the wrong side over there and not being able to see traffic coming along side with no “look out person” plus overtaking on minor roads wouldn’t be possible safely. I have driven a hire car in Europe but there’s no problem spotting traffic with that. How would you cope with that problem any ideas? 🥴

Sorry Lisa I can’t remember and can’t see it in their site either. They might be changing next season anyway so maybe best to drop them an email and ask 😊
