Jon Bon Jovi wrote almost the entire album (99%) for the Young Guns II soundtrack. I'd recommend to everyone to listen to the entire album. It shows a lot of Jon's spiritual side. Please do more videos for more songs from this album. Another artist that performed on this album was Elton John.

The most moving lines in this for me always were "I never drew first but I drew first blood" (you'll understand that line if you see the movie) and then "You ask if I'll grow to be a wise man, Well I ask if I'll grow old", "Let this boy die like a man" This entire album was awesome. Miracle and Bang a Drum are personal favorites. All the songs are based on a gunslinger point of view. Gotta think the movies were all about Billy the Kid and that life. So he writes like he's an outlaw type. You definitely should see Young Guns and YG II on your movie channel:)

This song is for the "Young Guns II" film. It had Emilio Estevez, Lou Diamond Phillips, Keifer Sutherland and Christian Slater. It's about Billy the Kid. My personal thoughts is I love both Young Guns movies and Emilio Estevez is friends with Jon Bon Jovi, which got him to do the songs and music for the second Young Guns movie. Also, Jon Bon Jovi was in the movie for about 1 second, he raised up out of a hole, which got shot and fell back into the hole.

When you watch this movie (Young Guns II, which is about Billy the Kid), keep in mind that the actor, Emilio Estevez is Charlie Sheen's brother in real life and also Martin Sheen's son. Emilio Estevez was the jock in the movie The Breakfast Club. In this movie, you'll also see Keifer Southerland, who was in the movie The Lost Boys (that you watched). This movie also has Lou Diamond Phillips who played Ritchie Valens in the movie La Bamba... Which you still REALLY REALLY need to watch!

You beat me to it. I was going to suggest the same thing. That performance is iconic, and would definitely be something worth reacting to. The unplugged movement picked up so much speed after this that MTV started an entire series called "Unplugged." For many artists, it was a way to show you had made it. One, you had be a big enough hit that MTV would ask you to do it, and you then had to have some pretty good skill to sound decent doing an entire acoustic set. I still have my "KISS Unplugged" CD.

"Blaze of Glory" (1990) was Bon Jovi's 5th and last #1 single on Billboard's Hot 100. Between 1984 to 2006, Bon Jovi charted 30 singles on the Hot 100, 20 in the Top 40, 11 in the Top 10 featuring 5 #1 singles ("You Give Love a Bad Name," "Livin' on a Prayer" (both 1986), "Bad Medicine" (1988), "I'll Be There For You," (1989) & "Blaze of Glory." This single was credited to Jon Bon Jovi as a solo artist. It featured musicians Jeff Beck & Aldo Nova (guitars) and Randy Jackson (bass). "Blaze of Glory" was nominated for a Best Original Song Academy Award but lost to "Sooner or Later" from "Dick Tracy" (composed by Stephen Sondheim, sung by Madonna).

"Young Guns" was a good movie but "Unforgiven" with Clint Eastwood is a one of the best westerns of all time. I just realized that I've sit in my bedroom for the last week and a half and that's the truth .... binge watching The Rob Squad Reaction Channel !!! And I'm getting scared that I'm going to start ripping things out of the wall and busting windows out 😂😂 You guys are Rockin everything I listen to growing up and both of you guys starts getting fired up then I have to really try to hold myself back cause I've been this wired my whole life when it comes to music especially Guitar Shredding and I have a reason for the Absolute Love of the Guitar. I have some very very talented musicians and singers in my family. I played guitar since I was 12 years old until I had a deer hunting accident in 1982 and the gun fell and discharged and it hit me in my right elbow and pretty much stopped my ability to play for a long time but I'm back at it a little bit now . Sorry about the history lesson but I just appreciate you guys for really having a gift and an ear for vocals and musicians. And Amber is my favorite Female Reactor hands down !!! I'm addicted to the Rob Squad Now and that's the best addiction I ever found ! Don't do drugs....Cold one if you like but the main thing in life is always be kind and generous to other people especially in this cruel world as it is now . And BTW SRV and Joe Bonamassa and Mr. Jeff Healey is my top 3 guitarist and that's my story and I'm sticking to it !

This is from Young Guns II . I played this song into the ground! I loved the song and the movie. Obviously you need to see the first Young Guns. The first movie is kind of the "origin" of the legend of Billy the Kid and the second, the rest of the story of Billy the Kid as told by "Billy the Kid" or William H Bonney ( his given name). Lots of big name men in it who were a BIG DEAL at the time and we rushed to the theaters to feast our eyes on them! Lol The song fits with Young Guns ll very well. In fact...look REALLY close and you'll see Jon Bon Jovi in the movie! Tom Cruise has a cameo in the first one.

I think I read somewhere that one of the people behind the original Young Guns movie had been inspired to make the movie, at least in part, by Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead or Alive song. When Jon heard that he thought that the lyrics didnt actually fit the movie and so wrote this song for the sequel. Pardon any failings of memory, its been many years since seeing the interview.

Your question about what's making the 'twang' sound, it's from a small instrument called a Jaw Harp aka mouth harp. The lamellophone instrument consists of a flexible metal or bamboo tongue or reed attached to a frame. This tongue is placed in the performer’s mouth and plucked with the finger to produce a note.
