I finally spent the time doing this a couple weeks ago after watching last season's vid. My only change was Positive Outlook with Repulsor Brace (I didn't have the SMG with it) and it was a lot easier than I expected; invis hunter/repulsor brace/Commemoration is so good even without last season's mods. Really fun way to do this whole mission. Thanks as always for the inspiration!

I just spent 10 hours soloing this with my Warlock. The amount of utter BS deaths during the first boss encounter and the second / third phase Brakion fight almost had me break my controller in half. Like always massive respect making this look so easy. Thankfully Whisper of the Worm compensated for my lack of raid weapons.

@@Be70200 For the Data Nullifier I highly recommend void with devour setup and if you have it a Rat King with Catalyst to go invisible. Otherwise you’ll need the Finishers makes you invisible fragment. Best spot is opposite the hole between those 2 blocks on which the hobgoblins spawn. Plop down your rift and let the Vex come to you. Your void buddy will take care of them and you can use finishers to go invisible. You’ll need to time it right so the wyverns don’t void lance you in the hole. A heavy machine gun can stun one of them. Second boss phase is hardest with the timing and the higher amount of data fragments you need. Use your cataclysm nova bombs for big damage on the data nullifier. A forebearance with chain reaction will be super helpful against the adds. For brakion I would switch to solar in the first phase and either polaris lance or Whisper for big damage. Use the little outcove like he does in the video. Second phase is getting tougher so switch back to devour void. A wishender would be super helpful not only can you shhot through the shield of the Hydra but it also stuns Wyverns in one hit. Be aware of the Cyclops that spawn after killing the Hydra. Best spot to input the code is the behind the long wall in the left back. In damage phase stay on the level of the code input thing and plop down a rift between the code thing and the plateau on which the Hydra spawns so you can barely see and hit brakion. He’ll use his flame aoe but most of it will hit the plateau. Now unload an Edge Transit with envious assassin and bait and switch. I would save the super for dealing with the Wyverns and the Hydra when he gets immune again. When your healing rift ends you can hug the wall until he is immune again. Rince and repeat. Remember he’ll spawn in two cyclopses once he warps into the third arena. For third phase switch to Whisper again and scour the second arena for any heavy you have produced. Equip an armor piece with triple solar scavenger. Wait until your super is full and go through the portal. Unload your super immediately so Brakion will loose his head then book it to the back right. There is a small lip on the right side of the white column and the edge of the arena where the adds will leave you mostly alone. Brakion might get stuck on the corner in his headless frenzy state. Now pray he will try to shoot you instead of non stop aoe flame you. You can absorb the first aoe with your healing rift or moving slightly towards him and back so it doesn’t concentrate all in one spot where you are sitting. From there it’s max damage as quickly as possible. If you don’t have whisper don’t use grenade launchers because his aoe can blow up grenades in your face. Good luck!

I'm embarrassed how long this took me, and to think I could have saved myself a couple of hours if i had just watched this video. Mind you, everything up to the final boss was challenging but very doable. I reached the final boss with like 10 deaths. I finished the final boss after close to 100 deaths. I struggled to get past the 2nd phase of the fight. I only reached the final phase twice, but they were a couple of hours apart, and my mind was waning, so i ended up failing the first phase after a while. If i had seen this video for the cheese strat before my first attempt, I could have saved so much time because once I tried that cheese strat, I beat the final phase easily.

Recently got my last 2 catalysts and I have to say that I found it easier with warlock instead of hunter. Using sunbracers for 1st two encounters with restoration x2 was much safer since I was also exploding everything with grenades and for the last boss I used the same strategy here you. Maybe if I used repulsor brace would have been a little safer but I kept dying at the 2nd part of enter the codes

As of today, this mission is no longer this easy now lol. There is no loadout swap on legendary now. And ads are 10 times more aggressive and huge in numbers. Bungie had made some changes. And i dont think you can solo it now at all

Devour. if you're not on warlock you'll need echo of starvation to get it. Warlocks have other ways to get devour I believe
