Can you explain what you did for planetary please ?

To start running- kill one centurion to spawn the colossues up top. It's important you dont kill both otherwise planetary shift will start early and you won't have enough time. Kill the colossus and read the left side planets. Kill the second centurion and redunk a planet on right before killing the colossus otherwise you won't be able to read right side. You now know all the calls. Dunking & redunking will start planetary shift so kill the colossus & swap the bottom planets as quick as possible, shooting the crux when done. Repeat for top side but this time you can kill both centurions as quick as possible since you already know calls & can start straight away. Now pre-damage prep starts; stagger centurion kills again. Kill one & then kill both centurions on the side they correspond with whilst checking the new mid calls. Kill the other centurion & kill both colossues on the other side (it's important all colossues are dead otherwise they'll kill you during damage.) Remember mid calls and put all the planets into the right places. Quickly run and grab ammo before damage starts. Damage will obviously start on a colour there's 2 of. From there it's pretty self explanatory; execute whatever DPS strat you're going with. A lot of the strats in this like rapid fire ranger/monochromatic maestro & the balls for ammo (artifact mods) aren't applicable this season but you get a free 15% boost with solo op anyway and there are other really good mods too. Hope this explained it okay. There's a few good guides out there that explain it much better- like Cookie-3's gameplay walkthroughs.

Wait does applying a radiant witherhoard to a barrier pop his barrier instantly when he puts it up?

I think it usually takes 2 ticks of witherhoard to break the barrier. A weird quirk I found while doing this challenge was that if you apply a witherhoard while radiant and your radiant runs out before he puts his shield up, it’ll still break his shield.

How are you getting restoration to proc so often and easily? I have to use heat rises and dive to proc mine am i doing something wrong?

"Release Recover" raid mods on ron armour will give you resto x2 for a few seconds anytime you hit a node (or just lose light/dark buff in general) if you have 4 of them equipped. Less than 4 and you'll get resto x1 instead. Apart from that, using ember of empyrean obviously helps to keep resto/radiant up with any solar kill.

I have a question. I am kinda new to destiny and havent sone any raids yet. My friends and I want to do RON soon. So I watched the day 1 raid from sweatcicle to learn the mechanics. I saw them wipe almost everytime at nezarec when he casted the light aoe thingy but you didnt. How did you life it, even though you didnt shoot his chest to cancel it?

when you shoot his shoulders a color (light/dark) will emanate from him. if it’s light then you’ll grab the dark buff and hit a non-start light node to make a “refuge” plate that will give u light’s refuge that lets you survive the wipe mechanic. just the opposite obv if it’s dark when u shoot his shoulders :) you can do 2 refuges (survive 2 wipe mechanics) per phase before he hard wipes u.

closest to being like that was definitely the 3 orb early into Scission 3rd floor, thought it might not be recoverable since I had so many nodes left to do without being able to skate. Explicator phase 1 damage wasn't amazing but was recoverable. quite smooth apart from those two things. :)

If I’m a new solo player I heard hunter is good because of high burst super damage and I guess nighthawk now, but warlock seems fun and lots of stuff you can do with you the classes and you have the well clsss, which do I main!!???

all classes have viability in endgame, pick whichever you like best :) warlock has rly good movement w/ ic dash and well but hunter can skate too if you get stasis. well is great and like you said hunters have the best burst dps in the game rn.

@@Filletss but in terms of causal pve/pvp to like nightfalls and gambit would you say warlocks or hunters are more enjoyable to you in terms of builds you can do, survival skills, super fun/damage. I used to main titan but I got so bored of the constant meleeing supers and builds, thundercrash was like a suicide mission, so I wanted more range I did try the chaos reach and nova which seems cool but the chaos reach just leaves you venerable and is long and nova doesn’t seem that much damage

The resto x2 is from hitting nodes w/ 4x release recover mods on ron armour; not the subclass :)

I do look at colours it's just quite quick. I see left at 19:49 then have to dunk a planet back to its same spot to reset planetary insight so I can see right calls. I then kill the colossus and see the right calls at ~ 19:56.

It’s just to get the child from the rift to track to him for the debuff- that’s why you also have to step a bit out of cover when you shoot him with it (it won’t track from the spot you normally stand). It’s only malf since I thought it’d be a good option for final if out of GL.

It gives you more merciless ammo than you would get otherwise. Swapping straight from the trace to merc gives you 15 shots iirc.

@@A-BoyNamed-Sue Cookie-3 has some great gameplay breakdowns of his run last season so that’s a good place to start. There’s a lot of good artifact mods this season (solo op, weaken on solar ability hits, etc) so I think that’ll make damage pretty free. good luck!

Spike, Envious + Explosive Light (both enhanced) and quick launch + handling MW. Backup mag on during ad clear and then the DPS loadout switches to boss spec to make sure you have 18 in the mag.
