Solo Hiking Adventure on Daikiretto - The Hasegawa Peak

This summer I had an unforgettable solo hiking adventure on Daikiretto and the opportunity to complete it!
"The Yari-Hotaka-Circuit"
This is a strenuous hike that requires fitness and focus. The traverse from Yarigatake via Daikiretto to Okuhotaka requires using your hands for balance and pulling yourself up on steep, exposed terrain. If you're not feeling well, have fear of heights, or if the weather is terrible, consider alternate routes.
In this video, I will show you clips of my POV while ascending and descending Hasegawa Peak. Hoping it will give you some perspective on how to prepare for this infamous route.

woww, that's amazing! How to prepare yourself before hike this route in terms of physically?

Strength is definitely required that section is a continuous 3hour technical hiking so stamina is also a must. I did some strength training and balance workouts before doing this route. I hope this helps.☺️

Yes, I have a Japanese insurance. I believe international insurance would work as well. Although not all of them. You can check Kanto Adventures for hikes like this they will also suggest accident insurance you could use. I hope this helps.
