Solo hiking in the Penyagolosa Natural Park (Spain)

Hiking in the Penyagolosa Natural Park, Castellón (Spain). Circular route that starts at the Sanctuary of Sant Joan de Penyagolosa and climbs up to the highest peak in the province of Castellón, the Penyagolosa Peak (1813m). Descend and take the Marcén path to continue to a beautiful corner of the Carbo River and its waterfall. Return to the Sanctuary along the GR-7. The ascent to the peak is easy but it is advisable to carry crampons in winter if there is snow because it is compacted and hardened by the low temperatures.
