Great to see you again! I hope your trip and Holiday was amazing! Carhartt and Columbia winter jackets are just the Best for me. My Carhartt is YEARS old and worn, but still super durable and warm for working outside. I use the Columbia for less active outdoors things, and it feels like Summer the whole time. I don't think there's any greater compliment to your as a person or your work ethic when a company chooses to hire you from the agency that placed you with them. Yes they are vetting you the whole time, true...but they have a LOT of people inside and out to choose from, and to excel under that scrutiny and be chosen is a testament to your value. Hopefully you were able to put a little aside during the good times against a temporary run of increased costs- but don't forget your value. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos! Happy Holidays!

Took you a bit of going , but you finally got a spot you were happy with and made it interesting for us. Congratulations on being hired by the company, shows you were a great employee, I'm sure you will be successful at whatever you go at. You definitely have a great head on your shoulders and very level headed person. You're not jumping into a situation that will cause you to struggle and turn KZbin from fun to work and then the fun would be sucked out of it. Enjoy your videos because you are real and you're not trying to be someone you're not keep that up and your subscribers will be real. I hope you have an awesome time off and I look forward to watching your videos of your adventures while off

A year ago, i watched a video of a guy in Europe who drove an all electric vehicle long distances to go camping and skiing. He installed a diesel heater that he ran full time un winter. It was a great kit.

Hi thanks for that. Do you know where he had it installed in the car?

Well said about the youtube thing. I feel the same I am getting a suv to convert to a camper so I can do vids, but at the same time I don't want youtube to be a "job" because I like making them and enjoy it.. I want to keep it as a hobby.
@ClairenParkerontheRoadКүн бұрын
Yeah to try to have it as your main source of income, I think would be a lot of pressure.

get an older minivan, $3000 direct from the seller (at most) to live in Lots of room if you sleep in a hammock and put your stuff in chests of drawers. Bungee strap the chests to D rings that you've bolted to the floor. Get around on a bicycle. Many buses have a bike rack. Sell your plasma for $60 per week (small people get less) Get 12k per year of college loans. 2 years of college makes you a sonogram tech, clear 50k per year anywhere in the US
@ClairenParkerontheRoadКүн бұрын
I've tried the older minivan thing. It's broken down and I pay for it every month.

@@ClairenParkerontheRoad how old ? did you pay a real mechanic $200 to really check it out before buing it? did you pay $2000 or less to a private seller? get a college loan of $6000 and go get another van. the scrap yard will give you $300 for the old one. Did you get around on a bicycle, saving gas and wear on the van?

ONE year of college makes you an LPN, able to BANK 25k in 6 months, if you'll travel, live in the van, work 2 jobs. then you can drawe 10k of unemployment for the next 6 months. Not bad. 4 months of training makes you CNA and the local VA nursing home will snap you up at $18 per hour, all of the overtime you want. Clear 35k per year.
@ClairenParkerontheRoadКүн бұрын
I've tried something like that. I actually make more with my current job. Thanks though.
@EsyuDachКүн бұрын
@@ClairenParkerontheRoad then you should be banking at least 30k per year, living in a van.

my wife cleard 40k per year, working overtime at the VA nursing home as a CNA $18 per hour

@EsyuDach bless her for the work she does. I think it would be hard for me to work full and overtime while living in a common vehicle. I would also have to find accommodations for my dog. Keep the ideas coming though.

@@ClairenParkerontheRoad you can live wherever you want or have to lilve.grow up . If you'd been born 3 miles from ground zero at hiroshima, would you stay there for life? (short one) right? go where the weather and work are decent. you can always go back when you have a better income, a partner to help you, etc.

Yeah I see what you are saying. But I really messed up the last time I went full time so I still have to recover from that. But it was my bad for not being prepared.
@EsyuDachКүн бұрын
@@ClairenParkerontheRoad i did the same. they make you make the monthly payments on your college loan for 9 months and then they let you set up a new college loan. Sell your plasma for enough money to make the payment. It's $80 per week for a person over 175 lbs, i"m not sure what it is for a smaller person, but it's less, cause you have less plasma.
@ClairenParkerontheRoadКүн бұрын
@EsyuDach thanks it's just I'd have to pay for pet care while donating plasma lol. I actually attempted to do the plasma thing but I almost passed out before getting out of the car to go in. I know, I'm, hopeless...
