I wonder why they didn’t effect the soup much. I added a bunch because they smelled very mild. Maybe they were old?

I was astonished at the amount of bay Leafs you used 😂 they pack a serious punch, that's probably why the recipe only suggest half of one, but hey if it worked and wasn't overpowering then more power to you! Just heads up, if you use them in the future (we always used to throw half of one into our ground beef when we'd cook it, it just helps to enhance the flavors in whatever your cooking) make sure you pick them out! Never actually eat a bay leaf, they're toxic if ingested

RV owner to RV owner tip? Never pour stove-top hot or boiling water down the sink without cooling it down by running cold water along with the hot water and just the cold for another 3-5 seconds afterwards to protect your pipes (most especially in the winter). Another great one. Now my tummy is craving pike with garlic butter. 😉

Woohoo! The MoHo Cooking Show is back, baby! I'm not a fish eater (although I do love seafood!) But it did look fantastic! Bay leaves at a lot of flavour, and you don't need that many. And if you have any room in your freezer, freezing leftovers is a great idea for lunches or dinners on the go, especially when your Crab trap comes up empty.

always go for more onion than you think, it shrinks in volume when you cook it! also, bay leaves are a staple of most soups, and cloves are a nice spice (nowadays people associate it with christmas flavors, it works well with fish and citrus and stuff like that, it's rather nice!)

I am originally from Northern Ontario and ate northern pike all my life. I was very surprised to hear people think it wasn't a good eating fish. They will call them snot rockets and the like. Numerous times I have done blind taste tests with smallmouth bass and pickerel in the same cooking oil. It is shocking how many times the pike wins the contest. It really makes a difference when you remove the Y bones and people don't get grossed out at all those little bones.

I don’t know anything about mechanical stuff, but watched your build of the expedition vehicle. In those series, you made comments about not following specs exactly. I took your word for it that you know what you’re doing and have the experience to modify and improvise. However, I DO know food and cooking from a home cook’s experience. You absolutely DO NOT want that many bay leaves and you DO want cloves and cooking wine in your recipe, lol. LOVING your videos!
