The peanut guy did not ask for Rs 1000, but he was actually answering your question of how much business he makes per day. He sells around 1000 rupees worth of peanuts everyday. A small pack of "sand" roasted peanuts costs only 10/- or 20/- Somehow due to poor translation, it came across as Rs 1000 for a pack of peanuts. That is not what he meant. I don't think he showed the unfortunate side at all. If anything, I could see the dedication and hard work of those making a living out of dharavi's economy. Almost everyone is doing something. I feel so proud that we have such hard working men & women in our country. There are places in the world that are full of crime and jobless people. INDIA 🇮🇳 is not one of them. Despite some disadvantages, we choose to thrive through work and effort, in our jobs or business. Dharavi is so busy only because people are hustling to run their homes & also to progress.
