Bro i played yesterday as a solo and the amount of solos that were just camping and hiding was insane. I got killed at the entrances of compounds and hunters just creeping. Fights were more prolonged

I killed pig and saw 4 teams surrounding in dark sight. I had a schofield and crossbow (tried to wait for someone to push), 20 minutes passed with only one team fighting and three teams still bush camping from 50+ meters. No one pushed. Playing solo is just becoming annoying because people are taking this game waaaay too seriously. I get playing the rat but a good rat still pushes compound. Id almost rather not kill bosses as a solo while everyone is playing like this. (Duos only, no skill based settings and yes there are duo 5 star teams acting like this)

@@tiredofinternetculture I just feel like that playstyle is inevitable. The change from 1:00match timer to 00:45 has really not changed the meta much. Maybe a separate mode that's a 20 minute long match? That would def encourage people to push.

I've been watching a lot of older videos of Hunt, before Necromancer was permanently introduced in Hunt. It seems like most pre-Devil's Moon players can't stand Necromancer, while players that started playing after the event don't have many problems with it.

As someone who has been playing since launch in 2018, Necro is fun. It lets me set up silly things I couldn't typically do before. I think people just have their heads up their asses over it.

I think the whole problem with the game is the compound design. Look at how hard it was to do anything at 12:30 if you can't get an entry frag with your consumables to push in. Basically nothing can happen because all the entrances are loud AND funnel you into a straight line. Look how once they pushed you it became way easier to get the squad wipe because you can hear them so far away and pre aim. I basically only play solo and most of my squad wipes are from over confident players pushing me. It's way more frustrating and boring to kill a campy trio because necromancer has somewhat ruined the balance of solo vs trio because you get tied to the enemy body now. If you don't camp it they can get a quiet necro rez. If you camp it they have an idea of where you are because they know you're probably within range of the body. I truly wish they'd get rid of necro or AT LEAST make it so other players can hear all the voodoo noises you make when using it.

They should have prepared a smoother transition back to the regular game, keeping self revive was a no brainer. Now I have all these solo hunters with Necro, Salve Skin and Resilience that I feel compelled to use in a team. Instead they just used a big event as an excuse to give them breathing room over the winter.

The duo in the clip at 13:00 are those people that disgust me the most in this game. Rather sitting on the same spot for 10mins straight against a Solo, not even rotating or trying anything apart doing nothing. But it pleases me to see how these people get demolished in the end.

it's the games fault man. You are at a huge disadvantage pushing in this game. Look how he couldn't do anything when they camped but as soon as they pushed him he could squad wipe as the defensive player. If you can maintain left angle and use sound you can headshot someone before 1/4 of you body appear on their screen. You can always perfectly aim at where their head is going to be as they come through the door as well or if you have a shotgun just GG. The compound design is at fault. There are no fast ways into most compounds. It's very loud to enter them. All the entrances are slow and funnel you through "halls" with no cover. To make it worse there's often tarps and chains and other bullshit that you can't see very well through but the guy aiming at the door can..or just use the sound to blast you.

The trait "lightfoot" makes a lot of things that would normally make noise, like jumping, landing, climbing ladders and vaulting completely silent. That being said, there's a cooldown on how fast the game will let you jump quietly, if you jump too much you'll start making noise anyways.
