Solo Lightning vs. Gigantuar, Neochu, Adamantoise (FFXIII, Speed Kills, ft. Odin)

GIGANTUAR: Omega Edged Carbine ★, 4x Magistral Crest ★
NEOCHU: Omega Hauteclaire ★, x2 Kaiser Knuckles ★, Speed Sash and Energy Sash (synthesize Random: Instant Chain)
ADAMANTOISE: Omega Edged Carbine ★, 4x Magistral Crest ★
Chraystarium: Stage 10 - All Roles Maxed
Sazh and Hope: Learned "Provoke", kept at Sentinel Role, and equipped "Paper Tiger" weapons (Pleiades and Malphas) to KO asap.
Gil and CP were hacked in to max Lightning out, making this experimental battle possible (without the need for ridiculous amounts of grinding to achieve this normally). All other party members are at NCU.

GIGANTUAR, Mission 54:
Nothing remarkable here. Summon Odin to act as Sentinel, keeping Lightning safe from Pain, Fog and Daze. Then just hammer it with Fire-boosted Ruins until dead.
NEOCHU, Mission 55:
Everything depends on Random: Instant Chain activating before the Gestalt Gauge runs out. If it doesn't, instant reset. Once Neochu has been disposed of, take care of the remaining Picochus with Blitz. Boosting with En-Fire and tossing Imperilga is optional, but it does get the job done faster if Imperilga lands.
ADAMANTOISE, optional:
Simple Summon = instant disable trick. Unlike the Mission 63 Adamantortoise though which is significantly easier, taking down Adamantoise with Zantetsuken leaves little room for error. If Imperil doesn't land on the first string, you most likely won't have enough time to deal enough damage for Instant KO to take effect. It took a few tries to get the timing right. For reference, you need to take out about 4/5ths of Adamantoise's HP. The visual cue for this is when its HP falls just under the second "T" in the word "Target" on the HP bar.
Zantetsuken Formula:
Odin's Strength x 3 x Chain^2
(5406)(3)(9.99)^2 = roughly 1,600,000 HP

I always forget odin's zentetsuken has a chance for instant kill, which I think increases the higher the stagger rate. Little things like this make this game amazing imo

It’s not just a chance. It’s a guarantee if you meet the criteria. The opponent’s remaining HP must be less than [Odin’s Str x 3 x Chain^2] for the instakill to activate. With a max Odin and max Chain, you can instakill enemies with up to ~1.6M hp remaining.

Sure thing. Gotta ask first tho, how far into the game are you so far? Have beat the end boss of Chapter 11? Grabbed the Growth Egg?

@@Lilpuppyluvah yeah I have the growth egg via the death method and I've beat the game, my only problem really is every method to farm gil points to adamantoise and I'm not strong enough to consistently beat him and farm him. Is there any way or items that I should use so that I can be strong enough to beat them with ease?

Then here's a playlist that shows how to farm Adamantoise at various stages of development: kzbin.info/aero/PLA9BEEBC35ADF976A At low levels, you'll be relying on Brynhildr so you'll have to farm TP after every battle. It's best farmed from the soldiers close by. Energy Sashes plus a Champion's Badge will help increase TP per battle. Note that Energy Sashes don't stack. But thing is, the character who has it equipped must be the one to kill the enemy for the effect to activate, so it's best to have 1 Energy Sash per character. The Champion's Badge, you'll only need 1 and anyone can equip it. Also, if you're playing on PC, switch to Easy Mode to further increase the chances of Platinum Ingot drops, in addition to Collector Catalog. Downside is rare items (Trapz in this case) don't drop in Easy Mode, so don't bother with Connoisseur Catalog. Ingots for gil is more important anyway.

Yeah, but I can’t remember the last time I did it the “non-cheap” way. Each playthrough I just use the summon method, beat it once, and call it a day 😅 This I think’s one of the most impressive take downs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKmmoqNjgNpjY9U
