My daughter (28) has always worn her hair long and this summer it was almost down to her knees when she had it ALL cut off! It's about an inch long on top and shorter on the sides and it is adorable! She talked about cutting it for quite a while because it was a hassle. If you want to make a change, do it. If you don't like, it will grow back.

I did the same a few years ago! I said I would shave my head completely when my hair hit my hips, so I did. It was very liberating. I didn't realise how much time I spent washing, brushing, styling, and worrying about how my hair looked until it was gone. I feel like the entire world led me to believe it would be scary and a huge deal, but as I was shaving it... it really wasn't. It was just hair, and it grew back.

I spent my whole life with long hair, shoulder length or longer. But it was always a race between turning gray or falling out. At the tender age of 60 I decided that keeping my rapidly thinning hair long was ridiculous so I cut it off. All of it. I didn't shave it because I don't want to look like an internet tough guy but as short as the barber could get it without breaking out a razor. This is great! Comfortable, easy to take care of and the perfect excuse to buy and wear hats. Try it! I had cats until I got married and we had our son and discovered his strong allergy to cat fur. It turns out my wife and daughters are allergic, too, just not as severely as our son. So we've had dogs ever since, mostly non-shedding varieties such as poodles. Cats are great but dogs --dogs are wonderful! They require more attention but they multiply it and give it back. Either is a fun choice.

I’d love to see you explore Yorkshire through Northumberland (Leeds/Bradford, Harrogate/Knaresborough, Newcastle and beaches in NE, then Northumberland (Morpeth/Alnwick/Bamburgh up to Berwick). These are so up your street in terms of quaint/interesting/steeped in history plus lots to do and see and really show that the UK has culture outside of London :)

Exploring the cotswolds would be a great video - I’ve just visited Bradford on Avon and it’s gorgeous, also has amazing transport links, 10 mins train away from Bath. Castle Combe is lovely to spend a couple of hours in too.

The chopping of the hair question is a difficult one. I think shorter hair would suit you - But I think you need to consider whether you would wear a shorter haircut down all the time. My hair is below the shoulder length. I wear it up 99% of the time. A few years ago I had it cut to above shoulder and I hated it as I couldn't wear it up... I could, but it was a lot more difficult to get it up and to get it to look tidy. Definitely get a cat - Cat's are so low grade in the care factor - they look cute and are cuddly, loving, and purrfect. They are also independent as you know.

Deffo with you on the hair thing, I had long hair and got bored as it was always in a ponytail or a bun. Had it cut and then missed it as took so long to style and it’s nice to just put it up when you need to be quick getting ready etc. it’s also off your neck when it’s hot. I get frustrated when I can’t put it up and then fed up when it’s long and boring! Thinking again of cutting it off now, into a bob. I had 2 inches cut off recently, one step at a time eh? 😂 at least I can still put it up at the moment. Unsure 🤔 but my sister went from long hair, that was always up, to short hair, a couple of years ago and it really suits her !

You should visit Norwich which is a beautiful medieval city. There are three separate areas in the city. There is a cathedral, a castle, rivers (part of the Norfolk Broads), loads of quirky wonky historical buildings in the tombland area and in the main part, and quite a few films have been on location there, such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, Jack the Giant Slayer, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey and many others. I always feel Norwich gets missed out .stuck here on our little bump in English geography 😂

Come to Leeds! We have amazing coffee shops/cafes some of the absolute BEST! And there’s a cute river boat taxi you can go on to get across the city. You can do York and Leeds in the same weekend as they’re very close together 😊

there are thousands of cats needing homes in cages in rescues, why would you buy a cat? there are 10,000 dogs killed in uk pounds every month, because they can't find homes, all while people are buying dogs from breeders who use animals as machines to make money!

Another vote for Lincoln as a place to visit. Take the walk from the high street to the uphill area (wear comfy shoes with some grip). The magnificence of the cathedral hits you in the face as you turn the corner. No trip to the cathedral is complete without hunting for the Lincoln imp. After you have finished sight seeing, hop in the car and drive out of town to Damons restaurant. It isnt fancy, just great american foods.

Buttercream is delicious put between crackers or biscuits. Graham crackers, saltines, shortbread, or like plain digestives or those oat biscuits like from McVities. I cant remember the name. Im American, so not quite sure all the kinds available there. My family has done this with leftover buttercream all my 50+ years life. My mom made wedding cakes for all the weddings at church, and there would always be a bit extra. It made such a delicious little snack, especially for us with very little money for sweets or desserts. Put on salted crackers, its delicious! I suppose similar to salted caramel, though I hate that. Lol.

I think you should go get a dog. You've wanted one for years - start looking for one that suits you. Hair? Get it cut. Get lots of layers & see if you have wavy hair. If you like fashion or clothes Harrods and Selfridge's are very fun for a walk around. They also have cafés, restaurants in them if you want a meal The Natural History Museum is amazing and probably one of the prettiest buildings in London. I recommend going on a weekday though to avoid a wildly crowded uncomfortable time Chinatown is great for food and there's a place called Chinatown Bakery which has such lovely treats and somewhat opposite to it is this road which has loads of bubble tea ice cream places

Honestly I’m not sure a bob would suit, because you have an amazing oval face, like longer.
