Solo male lions fight over a meal!

Two lions, who have been in conflict for over a year and a half, have forged a highly unlikely and uneasy alliance. The last Tumbela male and the solo Nkuhuma male have been spotted together on a few occasions. It will be fights like these that determine the dominance and whether or not they can remain together!

The big losers in history are the Ximhungwe Lionne and the Othawa breakaway...I hope that Skorro jr and the Nkuhuma male will form a coalition and their bond will be strong over time...

I think it's possible they learn to live as coalition mates who only half like eachother, until they face different obstacles and get used to eachother, then form a bond. I hadn't realized Nkhuma male has a very long body compared to Tumbella. I was yelling at Tumbella to get his butt off Nk, the zebra, lol. Nks head. That did it tho!! 😁😂😅

These girls did not get any of their hard caught meal. Between PC and Tumbela and Nkahuma visits, its amazing these girls ever get their deserved lion share of their meals. Comon boys you r strong and anle to catch your own yam yams

I wish these girls leave PCs and Nkahuma and Tumbela and go find nice stable protectors with whom to build a pride - the fantastic Orpen male, 4 Kambula Breakaway mal s coming of age, even Gijimas., or have Tumbela take you far away from PC territory and settle somewhere nice.

Hm, already 18 months, more. But this heated up after Nkuhuma joined with his uncle Nhena. Otherwise, he would've been wary of the Tumbelas, and even more so the PCs, especially when the Tumbela numbers dwindled. Remember that the "Nwalungus" shared Singita with the PCs in 2021, for 4 months or so, until Styx was slashed by hyenas. Within a couple months, or not much more, the PCs dislodged Nkuhuma from Singita. It was most likely them, not he Manghenis that time, who almost castrated him. I'd say that Skorro Jr. might remain the more dominant of the two here, if they continue loosely as partners/allies. He's shown this more than once now.

You have thrown a lot of opinion in, not proven facts. Styx was not slashed by hyena. The one thing about that morning was the absence of hyena and presence of a lodge vehicle. No other lions or predators. Just a dead young healthy lion who bled out from a very strange wound.

@@falanajerido875 this is out of the blue, but do you know what the reserves do with a deceased lion on their property? This is morbid, but I don't think hyenas can eat thru the skull. Sorry, I think of this often.
