To hit with disadvantage both rolls need to be 10 or above. I think in Honor mode there is no karmic dice, so the rolls are independent from each other which means the probability there is 0.55*0.55 = 0.3025 which is indeed 30%, the tooltip is correct.

@@mythicaledeg yeah, but over the course of several fights it is actually quite likely that a sequence of hits or misses eventually happens. Humans don't have a good intuition for how probability works, that's why it seems strange to us 😁

@@mythicaledeg like the math is too complicated for the scope of a yt comment, but in a sequence of 20 rolls with this 30% hit chance, there is a 18.5% chance to hit 3 times in a row and a 96% chance to miss 3 times in a row somewhere. So even in the context of a single fight, it is quite likely to see both of these.

20 AC means you need to roll 10 or higher to hit if you have +10 thats correct so by default its a 55% if you hit or not. With disadvantage you have to roll 10 or higher on both dice to hit. Since your original chance to hit was 50% its quite easy to calculate from now on. You have the following 4 possibilities: dice one higher than 10 and dice 2 higher than 10, dice one lower and dice 2 higher, dice one higher and dice 2 lower or both lower. In this case since every single roll is 50/50 individually every scenario has a base 25% chance of occuring. That leaves you with 25% chance to hit, however you need to add the possibility of a critical hit aswell so thats where the last 5% come from. Its actually quite easy to calculate since every roll is a 50/50. if they werent this would be a little more complex. (the 5% crit addition are also the reason why you have 55% without disadvantage and not 50%)

Not exactly correct. The extra 5% doesn't come from crits, as rolling a crit with disadvantage is a 1 in 400 chance and would've been a hit even if crits didn't exist, with 20AC. The 5% is normal because needing 10 or higher (including 10!) means 9 or lower is a miss. 9/20=45%, meaning 45% chance to miss 55% chance to hit before disadvantage. With disadvantage, you need to succeed 55% twice in a row to hit, meaning (11/20)^2=121/400=30.25% chance to hit.

So my recent fight with myrkul went pretty ruff forgot to turn scratch invisible so he died instantly didn’t even pick up killers sweetheart so sorcadin minthara could crit smite him twice and forgot to apply darkness with wyll so he K.O.d minthara and Karlach round one but I figured it out 🙃

My strategy in that fight was to use the summons against the skeletons since most of them have damage that’s effective against them, but you handled that fight extremely well

Thanks🤗 the summons are soo good at stopping the food delivery to myrkul 😂but not having scratch made me anxious since that was my final wild shape charge .does the dryad attacks count as magical? she hits like a truck 😂
