Solo Moto Camping - DR650 - Murray River Fireline to Hoffman's Mill - Western Australia

Join me on a quick overnight solo moto camping tip on the mighty DR650 through the Lane Poole Reserve, down the Murray River Fireline track and out to the Hoffman's Mill camp ground for the night.
I also sneak into Harvey to pick up some relish from my favourite store that makes locally made, delicious products before heading home back up the Fireline track.

Absolutely, you could easily do a full loop in a day. Even find your way back around behind Logue Brook Dam instead of retracing steps back through the reserve.

Hi Damien, thanks for the input. That is the Furno 360 cookset, but I also bought a bottle adaptor from Biker Bits in Victoria which converts it from the expensive cannisters to the much cheaper gas cans. But I'm considering going back to cannisters becuase I find those other cans can get dinged up sometimes if I drop the bike. The cannisters pack inside the potset so are well protected.

@@handlebarmonkeymotoadventu4664 I wondered whether it was that burner, have seen these around recently and they seem like decent units. Have you been happy with it so far? And have you used their pots/pans at all? See they do a decent pot/pan kit now.

Yeah I'm happy with it. It works fine and I use the pots all the time for heating water for coffee or heating meals. I also just carry that very cheap little frypan with me and thats the total sum of my cooking gear. I'm not going to buy a fancy titanium pan, that one was about $7 and I unscrewed the handle off to make it easier to pack. There's tons of options around for cookers and I know plenty of guys are buying super cheap burners off ebay and are perfectly happy with them.
