Day 5 of a 6 day motorcycle trip to discover the Gaspésie sections of the Sentier Trans Quebec Trail. I covered 325 kms from Cap-Bon-Ami to Carleton-sur-Mer.

Amazing trip man, meeting the Game Warden would have been really cool, what a beautiful river that was too ! Holy Sh*t Mount St Joseph was amazing ! that didn't even look real ! haha

Still amazing, man it’s hard believe this is all the same trip! So many beauty trails and views, my kind of adventure. This series is so much fun to watch, the drone footage is incredible, specially on the pan up to see the mountains and valleys, wicked cool. Interesting how a ‘broken’ conversation can be uplifting, I’ll bet he’ll remember it too. Again, well done, and great captures. Thanks for sharing, and keep well!

Thanks so much! It really is an amazing area and we’re lucky that it’s so close. That guy at the river was great. I don’t think he gets many visitors other than the fishermen so he was more than happy to chat. All I could think of the whole time I was talking to him was how much my 85 year old dad would think that he has the best job in the world hanging out in the woods alone all summer! Haha Cheers!

Liked and subscribed. Excellent, footage, very inspiring trip. I binged watched 5 episodes and I took notes of all the beautiful places you've been. I wonder if I can do the Trans Quebec Trail with a 250 cc cruiser motorcycle. Also is it possible to wild camp at all on those roads? Part 6 tomorrow, is already midnight.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate your kind feedback. As for taking a small cruiser through the Trans Quebec Trail, I can’t speak to the other sections but a lot of the Gaspésie sections are regular dirt roads. I didn’t come across anything where you would “need” the extra ground clearance of an ADV bike except maybe the 2 hill climbs in Part 3. As for wild camping, yes there’s plenty of places you could camp. Cheers!🍻

Thank God Honda just released the new version, in another 20 years i can pick up another reliable garage kept preloved one😁If old faithful ever breaks down. The CB is an absolute gem of a bike. It performed flawlessly during this series and the trip I did around Labrador this past summer. I just picked up a CRF 300L Rally for more technical off-road touring but I’ll be keeping the CB for a long time and plan on riding it to Tuktoyaktuk in a few years. Cheers!

I started watching one of this series purely because I was curious about how the CB500X performed only to find that I had happened across an absolute gem of a travel series. I immediately went back and watched all five parts and I loved the footage and the no nonsense laid back way it was presented. I hope this gets the thousands of views it deserves.

Looks like a great trip. I need to get some knobbies on my 500X... have tried taking it on trails around the capital region and it gets tough to control very quickly on rocks, mud, or sand. Love the powertrain and fuel range though. Safe travels

It really is a great little bike but yes, the stock tires were terrible even on the easiest gravel roads. I absolutely love the Bridgestone AX41 AdventureCross tires I use. They’re great on pavement and in the dirt. They may not last the longest but that’s the trade off. If I was travelling across the country I would probably run Heidenau or MotoZ but these are fine for the 6-10 day 5,000km trips my work schedule allows. Cheers!
