I agree, there is a time to ride alone as well as in a group. Riding solo can be very therapeutic if a person is good with the alone time. Safe travels to you!

As a fellow rider and resident of Evansville, I enjoyed this journey. I just finished a 5500-mile ride from Evansville to Idaho, solo. I've done group rides, two to three bikes and solo.. and i've come to appreciate the solo rides. Miss my buddies to be sure, but the stop when you want to stop, view what you want to view is the way to go. Stay Safe.

That is awesome. What did you love the most about Idaho? So happy you got to do that trip. I did 6600 miles in 2020 and got some great views out west (cannot wait to go back and pick up some of those states I did not get on my first trip out there). Love seeing a video and recognizing the area :). Thank you so much for watching. Safe riding out there!!!

I'm a retired geologist and I attended a geology field trip in McCall/Riggins. Ride to McCall from Boise up the Payette River.... it is unbelievable. Eventually that road intersects with US Highway 12. This was my fourth ride on it and it remains without question, THE BEST motorcycle ride in America. And for those of us who love history, it is also the route of Lewis and Clark.

Looking forward to more of your Himalayan series. This one was awesome: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5DWXoB7dr1keJIsi=Edj8IVfRXJ5eErlw. Coming to Australia WOULD BE AMAZING! I definitely want to come there and that is on my bucket list. Do you know if they rent trikes? I have been away from 2 wheels for so long not sure I could go that route and on the opposite side of the road...would take so long to get used to. Of course, I could bring Melinda along, she will keep me on the correct (LEFT) side of the road. She lived in the Bahamas for a few years and learned how to do that...not sure I would be good at it. Been following Robin the Lady Biker in her epic trip. Cannot wait to see more of that... God Bless and safe riding out there.

What a fun video!! You are amazing with a camera and telling a story. LOVE it!! I love riding solo myself, I find it great to stop and reflect and take in the moments easier by myself. I also fast and riding it great right? Can go all day before a stop to eat. Love all the history you shared here. NICE you got to see your twin!! I have twin granddaughters and only one travelled here this year, her first time flying ALONE without her family but without her twin.....they are stuck like glue together it was a BIG deal. Birthday FUN!!

Hey there, Harley Gurl! I appreciate the positive feedback. If I could do this full time I would because I love telling the stories of this great country and the ride... Yep, time with my twin went way too fast. Yep, my twin and I are very close (just not geographically, sad to say). I remember the worst day of my life...the day Melinda got married (the day after our 21st birthday). I was so happy for her but so very sad for me. I was losing a part of me for sure. Thank you again for the feedback. (When are you coming to SC for a visit?)
@TheBdb869 Жыл бұрын
I have a Tri-Glide and have put about 12000 miles this year. All of it solo and haven't finished the trips planned. Going to SC next week. Spending 4 days on that trip. In Oct I'm going to a reunion in Rhode Island and that will be round trip about 10 days. You keep doing what you are doing as long as you enjoy it. Keep it up.

Congratulations on the 12K miles. I am so impressed and so wish I could put those miles on my motorcycle. Someday when I can retire (or at least semi-retire) maybe I will be able to do that. I need to get out east (will be either 2024 or 2025 before I can mark Rhode Island off my bucket list. I pray for your safe and enjoyable travels. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to respond. God bless you and safe riding out there.

She made it! Yea! 😃 As you were pulling into Melinda's place, i noticed you don't have your flag. 😧 Great video and scenery as usual. I hope you out road that motel food without any problems. 😬 I have some interesting road stories, on my bike and in my truck. Very unpleasant. Melinda! Your home looks outstanding after all the work you did. 😃💪 Happy Birthday!! 🎁🎈🎉🌹🌹........................... 😎👍👍

I just had not gotten the flag back on. I wanted to get used to packing the luggage without it. Once I figure how things will work, maybe I will get it back on. Plus it needs to be replaced with a new fresh one. Yep...learned my lesson, pretty miserable most of the day because of those powered eggs. LOL. Thanks, Joseph.

Great long trip, along with good weather. Noticed your seat cushion. Does it help on longer rides? Thnx
@MidLifeStyleTwins Жыл бұрын
YES weather was great (was supposed to rain but it did not). That cushion is not padded and more for keeping from getting too hot. I ordered a Butt Buffer seat cushion. I will share my feelings about that when I get it for my next trip (leave in a couple of weeks). Thanks so much for watching.

Hi. Enjoyed the video! I just bought and had my first 100 mile ride on a H-D trike. I'm curious about what kind of modifications you have made for comfort on your trike? I've seen a lot of options - tank lift, bigger foot-pads, handlebars, seat/cover, etc. Are you using stock H-D, or have you improved it? Any recommendations to get over "saddle-sore" (which that 100 mile trip certainly gave me!).

I watched some of your other videos, and I think I got my answer. I'm really enjoying your channel.

So sorry for not responding quicker...I (Melissa) am currently on a 4700 mile motorcycle adventure (gathering more footage for some great videos) and just now spending a few minutes getting to messages. Melinda will be responding to messages for the video we just put up tonight. AWESOME and congratulations on the new trike. I rode over 1000 miles over the past 2 days and have no complaints with the seat (nor was it bad in my recent 865 mile trip to and from Indiana). HOWEVER, my daughter is with me on this trip and she is not at all comfortable on the stock seat. I absolutely must change that seat out. So glad you were able to find the answers and more...I am so happy you are enjoying the channel. I love creating the memories that lead to some awesome video content. Always a work in progress. God Bless and safe riding out there.

We have similar thoughts on riding along vs group. The only thing that is less then enjoyable for me traveling solo is eating alone.
@MidLifeStyleTwins Жыл бұрын
Agree. Sometimes I like to eat alone but most of the time I prefer having company for that.
