As a hound hunter that has this problems every once in a while, use 1 part dawn dish washing soap 1 part hydrogen peroxide 1 part baking soda. Mix it up, wash the dogs with it.

foaming scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner, spray it on the dogs, kills skunk odor right away. make sure you don't get it in the eye's of the dogs. just let it dry & no more skunk smell, it worked for my hounds back in the day.

As a avid hammock camper I would recommend getting a hammock with a bug net and invest in tow straps for the tree attachments

I'm getting here late but I've been camping with a hammock for several years and there is definitely a learning curve. Tree straps and whoopie slings, I didn't make that name up, are the way to go to hang it, and it's actually more comfortable if you put a little sag in it. I know you didn't have a choice having to use your dog leads but if you don't put a little sag in it then it is tight on your shoulders and just not as comfortable. Pads will work but I always come off the pad and wake up with whatever is touching the hammock frozen, LOL, an under quilt is like you died and went to heaven, warm as can be on the underside. Your sleeping bag will work fine on top, you can unzip it and turn it upside down and use it like an over quilt. Enjoying your content!

I plan on doing this same thing come this fall in the mountains of PA with my turkey dogs. Either get dropped off in the late afternoon and hunt till dark then hunt my way to the camp the next morning or I'll leave from camp the same time and hunt a circle back to camp the next morning.. Great video!

I used the “scent away” people use for deer hunting. You get the shower gel as well as the spray you put on. Use both, one to wash the dogs and then keep spraying them with the spray afterwards. Works great for me.

I have used straight Dawn dish detergent and removed skunk smell from a golden retriever. It took a few times of washing her but it worked.

Best combo for the skunk is baking soda hydrogen peroxide dawn dish soap use a lot of it it takes care of scent for most part I have had any luck with anything else other than this mixture

Been there. Keep a bucket to mix it up with me. Absolutely the best I've found. Careful around eyes. Love your videos. 1 quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide (fresh bottle), • ¼ cup of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), and • 1-2 teaspoons of liquid dish soap.

Peroxide, baking soda and a good squirt of Dawn dish soap. Can't store it, have to mix it as needed. It's an oil so the Dawn is particularly important. Just had to use it last week on my cur crosses lol.

I have a brindle cur she was a damn good treer back in her prime. She doesn’t do hunts anymore cuz she’s almost 13 years old just loving her retired life. She now protects the cattle and livestock on our farm along with her partner (our livestock guardian/akbash cross) instead of hunting with the other hunting dogs. She loved to hunt occasionally we’ll take her out with the hunting dogs we have now but we don’t let her run very hard. Sad when they get old
