Hey Mani, if you haven't realized it yet and are still playing DOS2, it's not always optimal to take +1 warfare over +3 finesse. Just look at 2:29:00 when you switch out the +3 finesse rune frame for the +1 warfare rune frame and drop damage by 10. You are correct that you gain 15% damage from +1 warfare at 50 finesse. However, damage increases from finesse also goes up with higher warfare since they are multiplicative. If you have 20 warfare, each +1 finesse is actually 10% more damage, not 5%. So, the +3 finesse rune frame is +30% damage with 50 finesse and 20 warfare whereas the +1 warfare rune frame is +15% damage. Assuming you can get to 20 warfare without rune slots, which looks to be doable, the breakeven point for +3 finesse vs. +1 warfare is actually 110 finesse, which really isn't easily achievable. The general rule should be to always take the +3 attributes over +1 combat ability, unless you are able to hit insanely high attributes at which point it's maybe worth it.

1 warfare trumps 3 finesse once finesse hits over 50. Checking the video at that timestamp, unequipping the finesse rune takes me under that 50 finesse break even point. So generally (assuming you have equal to or more than 50 in your attribute not counting the gear change you are making), a combat ability point outweighs 3 in an attribute. Also consider the boost you get from buffs like you see me use in the video. Even in this instance, I would get a small overall damage increase from that rune change given the buffs I typically apply in combat.

@@Manithro Appreciate the response. Would be happy to be proven wrong if it's the case. I don't think you are taking into account that warfare boosts the effect of each point in finesse. For example, at 10 warfare, you should see that each point in finesse increases damage by 7.5% instead of 5% (up 50% due to warfare). At 50 finesse and 10 warfare (which I assume you can easily get through hard allocated points), +3 finesse gives 22.5% more damage while +1 warfare gives more 15% damage. In that case, it's more damage to take the +3 finesse from power frames. I made a google spreadsheet with the damage done at varying finesse and warfare levels, but the comment system didn't seem to like me posting the link. Here are a couple takeaways: 1. There are "breakpoints" at which adding +3 finesse is equivalent to adding +1 warfare. For example, at 80 finesse and 10 warfare, +1 warfare gives 22.5% damage (450% x 5%) and +3 finesse gives 22.5% damage (7.5% x 3). Obviously, it doesn't matter how you reach those breakpoints and they're just reference points for when you should increase finesse over warfare or warfare over finesse. 2. From 80 finesse and 10 warfare, breakpoints increase by 3 finesse per 1 warfare. The breakpoint for 15 warfare is 95 finesse (80 + 5x3) and the breakpoint for 20 warfare is 110 (80 + 5x6). From these observations, it would seem to me that the general rule should be to get as much warfare/elemental from items as you can (at least 15 should be easily doable, 20+ possibly) and then fill all rune slots with +3 attribute. Hope that makes sense and would be interested in hearing what you think. Let me know if you want the spreadsheet. I have no idea how to get it through youtube's system. Edit: I also saw that you were wondering why switching to +5 finesse armor from +2 warfare gave you more damage in your episode 10 of this solo rogue run (about 2:20:00 there). I think it's for the reasons explained above.
