Everything you said in the video is 1000 percent my thoughts exactly! The very reason I do what we do...thanks for sharing your adventure! Life is like rain drops...you caught it man! Never stop!

I camped there a few years ago before I left California. I camped in a grove of trees near Baker Creek on the South end of the valley. I came back from a walk with the dogs and some large family group set up right on top of me. The teenagers ran through my camp throwing frisbees and hitting croquet balls. AARGH! I left the next day. I did find solitude across the valley S/E of Big Pine in Papoose Flats. Lots of cool rock formations.

Great memories…lol. Usually parents get drunk, kids act a fool. That’s happened to me many of times. That’s why I hate camp grounds as well. I’m sure you made up for that with many other Adventures. Thanks for your time.🫵🤙💯

Great background piano music. Nice rig ! I’ve been to CF and Funnel Lake a few times. If you climb up the road to Coyote Ridge you can park at 11,000 ft and admire a spectacular overlook of South Lake and west word across the Sierra. Ditto on all the backcountry spirituality.

I’m definitely going to hit the overlook next trip. So much to see up there, I plan on seeing every square inch of landscape,🤣😂. Backcountry Church brotha. I appreciate the support and your time.🫵👍

Another nice video Paul. Enjoyed it and your philosophy about things. You’re making me feel guilty about processing my trips now 😂

Thanks, I really appreciate your time and support. What I’m putting out to the world is my passion and things that keep me somewhat sane. 😂😂😂🤙 I’m just being honest with my thoughts. But the inward looking glass is insane, when you’re all by yourself for days at time. My flaws and mistakes eat me alive. That’s how I keep my skeletons from building up in my closet.👀🫵🫡. One of these days I will work them out and have a pure moment of peace ☮️.

11:10 Those are some amazing shots, great spot to overland. I can't believe you got Funnel Lake to yourself. It's usually bombarded with hikers. Any chance we will see the Sea side of things.

Having that spot solo was Epic. Definitely going to get to the Coastal Areas, I’m planning for a trip now. Maybe a catch and cook to….👀👊💯

Wow, I'm impressed! For only two videos you have demonstrated a talent and a sensitivity for composition and cinematography that few "overland content creators" have yet to achieve even after years of producing videos. Your musical score was exceptional too. The music at the gas station in Bishop in your first video was perfect :) Nice job. Respect! Thank you.

Bro, first of all thanks for the awesome comment. My goal here is give people free content that is valuable in whatever way they interpret it. The vibe I’m giving will always be 💯 authentically me. That I promise. I’m really enjoying trying to bring my passion, and experience forward to share. I appreciate your time and support. 😮 wow.🤙

Any trout in those mountain lakes? 😁I like the raindrops quote!
@Sea2overland2 ай бұрын
Yep…Tons of them. I heard some big ones jumping at night. I guess at some point I should fish those lakes…😂😂😂. Building a trailer for the kayaks. 🫡

@ definitely need to at least bring a travel rod with you for those remote lakes. That’s what I would do when I went backpacking.

Paul, just subscribed. I feel like you captured in words how I feel about solo trips myself. My longest was 2 weeks in the SoCal deserts. Most recent was just 48 hours up in El Dorado. And like you, I go out there to unplug from the matrix so I can come back and be better. I love how you spoke about it. Good luck on this channel.
@Sea2overland2 ай бұрын
It’s a real eye opener when you put yourself in these amazing landscapes, far from the noise. You really have no choice but to look inward. 2 weeks in the desert, bro now that’s some serious soul searching. Good on you. I’m glad I’m not the only one. Safe travels brother. And I appreciate your time, and support.

@ Yeah, 1800 mi, 5 deserts. Google it - you might find the post - I won't link it here because of the spammers. :). Looking forward to more here. Also, look up the hardcover book "Quiet for a Tuesday" by Tom Sheppard about his 700 mile crossing of the Sahara AFTER the authorities confiscated his maps. You'll dig it. He's one of my idols in this world for his work and travels.
