Just seen you’ve hit the million subs! Congrats corp, been a sub for just over a year was laid out in bed with covid for a week last Nov and god bless a binge fest of your videos. Got me back into the outdoors, started following some of the UK KZbin guys and now enjoying being able to spend time with my daughter on walks in the countryside and show her some of the stuff I’ve learnt about forestry. And all because I randomly found one of your videos when I was ill.
@johnreese01172 жыл бұрын
@@alaskankare Correct…. However, he also said, if 500 people are saying the same thing, 1,000 comments will not make a difference. There was a $hit ton of other content in that video that merited a positive comment versus sound quality.

The vast majority, the silent majority appreciates your videos, points of view and the fact that you take time out of your life to share your knowledge with us. Congratulations on 1 million subscribers! Thank you for sticking with it from that first spoon video to now. The amount of knowledge you've shared with us for free is amazing. People don't understand what it takes to do what you do every week for years: Come up with a new idea, plan it, execute it rain or shine, edit it, upload it, deal with KZbin... All so we can learn more and become better woodsmen. Amazing, Shawn. Here's to the next million subscribers!

Try taking your 10x20' tarp, find the halfway point on the long edge and place it at the back of your apex. Then drape those two halves down your two door poles. The rest of the tarp will find the curve and you can use the parts of the tarp that splay out back over the ground to catch rainwater and/or dew. You won't need to cut the tarp at all. I often just build a fire outside the open door, far enough to get warmth but not too close to catch the tarp on fire. All I take with me hunting is a sheet plastic or lightweight tarp and a folding saw. I often just use a couple of forked sticks in the tripod and use no lashing whatsoever. Conicals are quick and simple. Great video!

Outstanding! You got me thinking about my childhood. When I was involved in Scouts, we had a surplus parachute. Threw it over a 6x8 pavilion, staked it out, and had a barrel stove vented outside outside the parachute. The heat rising created a pretty large area for cooking, etc. we did this for winter camping.
