I designed the interior of my shelter to be easy to heat and reheat. My little cabin is very pleasant to live in but the wild boars are getting closer... Merry Christmas! Take safe!

I agree. It seems peaceful where he's at. I would still want a gun just in case I came in contact with something I couldn't out run or get away from. I would try not to kill whatever it was. The noises at night could be a little unsettling. But I could get use to especially if I had a camera and could see what was outside. I would want a phone for emergency too.

I live in South Korea, and last year while out hiking in the mountains, I saw two baby boars cross the path I was walking along. I've never seen two such cute animals in all my life. Not sure where the mum was, but they trotted along, and were only about 30 cms long. That was about the same time I saw a fully grown owl in the wild and got photos of it too. Nature is truly amazing, and should be kept like that.

Great job on this build, very cosy, informative and interesting video. Definitely should consider a mesh type grill for your chimney since it's almost ground level in case any creepy crawleies decide to snuggle up in your warm underground home... Safety first. Also might want to close your door when leaving at night and maybe not put your torch near to a plant in case it catches your home on fire. Other than that fantastic job!

My friend... I love your little cabin...but would like to offer a couple suggestions for your comfort. If make the opening to your chimney higher, and gradually more narrow, you will keep alot more of the heat from escaping through it. Also, if you put some stones along the sides of the interior opening, that with help reduce the draw, and they will also soak up the heat, and slowly release it into the cabin. The other thing is to cover your floor with wood chips to keep it from getting muddy, and damp. Again, love what you have built! Enjoy it!!

Really great and inspirational shelter ^^ Couple of things you could add would be some kind of a rain cover for the chimney and weatherstripping the door and the hatch to keep more of the heat in. After that I could see this thing holding out throughout the winter. - From Finland

Off-grid cabin videos are one thing, it's another level here. Not to denigrate those other fine videos, but this is a survival technique applicable to anyone. The lesson here is observe your surroundings, use your head, reason problems out, and plan. I bet if push came to shove, this expert could snare a boar if he needed to with tools the forest provides.
