Wow i worked 30 years in Rotterdam and help rebuild the city, did go out every weekend there in the 90ies and knowed the city almost better than my own city Breda but i never know anything about that digital thing remastered Rotterdam haha time to go back i guess. Great video thanks.

Thank you! 🥰 Having to choose favorite Japanese restaurants here feels like mission impossible 😂 the first places that come to mind are for example Fujiyama55 in Leiden & Niko in Den haag! But the spots I visited in this video were also great 🫶🏻

The skyline has changed enormously in 20 years. The high-rise buildings on the Kop van Zuid were not there yet. I'm one of the ones to blame for it being there now :) And some towers in the center, yes, guilty haha

Hi great video thank you. I have a question can you choose the seat of the Thalys train? I want to go from Paris to Berlin and when buying the train it says that i may not get the seat. But I want a seat next to my partner, will they change that? Thanks

Thank you! 😊 When I went with Thalys to Paris me and my friend got seats next to eachother when booking the tickets together. I don’t think we chose them, but it put us automatically together. Hope this helps!

1 thing... you forgot to mention that the main reason that Rotterdam is such a modern city because the city was complete bombed down by the Nazi's in the WWII. It used to be even more beautiful than Amsterdam. And may I suggest you take a trip to the town of 's-Hertogenbosch. I would love to see your opinion of my hometown.

@@JanicasJourneys Go to the Cathedral and walk over the graves, do the river tour under the city, visit Townhall and the "Zwanenbroedershuis", see the Maria statue, visit the "Brabants museum", "Museum Slager", Art Museum and the "Kruithuis". Its the town (if I remember right) with the most restaurants, bistros and bars in The Netherlands and the inner city is car free and basically an open air mall. For great restaurants go to the "Korte Putstraat" (close to the St. Jan) or the "Korenbrugstraat" (next to the boat tours). If you have time, go to Heusden about 30 min away. It is a fortified city that has been completely restored or go to Kasteel Heeswijk, also about 30 minutes away from 's-Hertogenbosch.🤪
