@ Corporals Corner If you'd been part of the RPMfest work crew a couple weeks ago, I think you would've been in Heaven with all the material ( full grown branches, sticks, some decent pieces of bark from somebody logging their part of the property, plus other stuff to go either full on debris shelter or other types.) It was a job & a 1/2 getting all that out of there to prep for campers & more than likely, it'll have to be hit up again but, a potential for some kind of temporary structure for the actual days of the show could probably have been done. Just have to stash the stuff you'd use up until 9/2 for the 1st "official day" & maybe come in with a bit more minimal things like a tarp cover or something to finish off a shelter. Only potential problem, no real bedding except massive amounts of pine needles which I think wouldn't make a trash bag styled bed the most comfy if somebody went that route. Again, the music there may not be your bag but, it'd still be AWESOME AF if you could come even if it was for one of the 3 days the thing's going on.

I look forward to those mid-week video's . The pup tent idea is a good configuration, but like you said, us bigger guy's are gonna be uncomfortable, but it's doable and the rain tarp was done nicely. I really miss the after video credit's, thought maybe you weren't doing them anymore but was actually excited there was one in this video. Good advice in the end "after thoughts" segment though. Look forward to your next one. Now, without further babbling, gonna go watch an old video of yours that i haven't seen yet! 😁

Your absolutely right. I had a heart attack and quadruple bypass 7 years ago. After making my boss over a million dollars and the insensitive S that he promised me stopped but not for the other guys that where making him less. I quit and opened up my own construction company, and it was the best decision I made, Well my wife and I made. We are currently taking a 2 week vacation through New England. I couldn’t have done it un less i made that leap. You definitely inspire people to do things. Once again thank you.

I’ve been there with a do it for the company company. Ended up doing 7 days a week and 120 hours for 40 hours pay for months on end without a day off. Nearly killed me, never again. I changed jobs and can’t believe how good a company can be. I have been here 15 years and loved every day. One of my sons works for a company who have staff meetings on a Sunday without being paid. He now refuses to do that unless he is being paid after I had a good talk to him.

I loved your Final Thought. I was at that crossroads almost 10 years ago (I was running a large fabrication shop) and quit because of burnout. Outstanding video as always, Corporal! I'm definitely feeling a bit burnt out, lately. Civilian life sucks. I miss the Army. Granted, toxic leadership is rampant nowadays but, I miss the brotherhood and feeling like I had a sense of purpose. Now, I find myself just kind of drifting through. I even tried to get back into the Army like a week before the COVID lockdowns happened. Still haven't heard back from the Archives. Anyhow, good work, Corporal. Charlie Mike and move out. Hooah!

When I was 35 I went in hospital 1st time. Come out and started my own company doing the same thing I was doing for the big business. That was good because it allowed me to retire when I went down the 2nd time 20 yrs later. I worked twice as much for myself. 😆 🤣. It was worth it for that 3 to 5% of the time that I got to do the things that absolutely loved and enjoyed doing at work. Carry-on Corporal because most don't have a clue to the work you put in. I have been waiting for the opportunity to apply many of the lessons learned from your channel to the style of adaptive outdoor camping. I like to stay light and enjoy the bushcraft and military craft camping too. Your advice on knowing when to pull the plug (no lo ger fun) is spot on. Companies and organizations lose a lot of people that way.

Hey Shawn, I read this and you might try it. Keeping Flies & Mosquitoes away= 2 tablespoons Whole Cloves, 8oz water, 2 Whole Bay Leaves and 1/2 Cup White Vinegar. Boil the cloves, bay leaves in the water for 10 minutes, allow to cool, add the vinegar. Pour into a spray bottle and spray around doors, windows etc. Takes about an hour but will keep those bugs away.
