After all the upgrades to the fort in the woods, and 4 consecutive videos from there, I felt like it was time for a change of scenery for a bit.
I tried to go camping near a lake, but when I got there it was frozen, so I traveled down a few old logging roads until I found a beautiful forest of Red Pine.
I parked my truck and hiked in with minimal gear in a small hidden woodsmen backpack for about a half hour, until I found a suitable camping spot for overnight.
I build a natural shelter using bushcraft skills, cook up a steak on a tripod, and spend an amazing night winter camping in an unknown land.

I love the comment about not caring if people like your singing because you’re just being yourself. I had someone say that I talk too much on one of my videos. But like I say, I do the outdoors my way. If it’s not your way, I won’t bash. Keep up the great content. Also, this was a great one. I liked the change up and the idea of a new area that you weren’t familiar with. 👍🏻

Hey Joe. Wanted to shoot you a message here and let you know that my kids think you rule. Lately, my 9 year old has also taken to watching your videos and is now begging me to go out in the woods and "do some bushcrafting" once weather allows. Can't say I don't have the same itch these days. Hope all is well.

That's super cool. Also sounds like something they will store in their memories to do in the future. I remember having one of those "Rambo Knives" that ya could store little things in the handle ... matches and stuff. They came with saw wire and extra things. Plus a compass on the handle knob. As a young'n, I was out in the woods using that thing everyday. I would like to think knives like those have influenced at least SOME of the best bushcraft content creators in their adult years lol!
