@@stelfer Hehe. To be honest, I'd be a regular player if raiding was at least 5 times harder and playing solo was really an option... if I knew having a job didn't mean losing your base for sure. A clan shouldn't be able to wipe a whole biome in one day without running out of explosives. Raiding a base should at least be a serious choice.

To be fair, I have yet to play a survival sandbox genre game that isn't like that. It has less to do with the servers and more to do with the fact that the game is the closest that exists to an open world simulation of several different things, between AI, player built structures, and players, it's a massive strain. To be realistic though, Funcom stretched too hard in trying to give this game Dark Souls style combat. It works excellently on singleplayer, but any connection other than an amazingly fast one feels horrible. You get hit and comboed and juggled and such without even seeing what happened all too often.

Man that was some seriously layered bait and switch. I got to see all the chat in global that day, but it was great to get a peek behind the curtain at what was really going on. Also, thanks for building all those drops sites. The maprooms helped me get started and keep some of my stuff safe from the Chinese boys. There were some pretty epic battles against the cheaters before all the bans came through. I think the server still needs some Son of Burp intervention.

Whenever I watch a raid video, it always leaves 2 tastes in my mouth. On one hand, I'm impressed at your perseverance to strike back where it hurts against people like those, so mad props to you for sticking to your guns and showing them who's boss. On the other hand, this always reminds me of the looming PvP threat. Even as a solo player, I like to help out other players a crazy ton, especially when I have the resources to give - I've also been helped out myself a fair amount. I don't actively go and raid people, even if they raid me; I just build back up and hope that my base isn't as flawed as before. I play on Oceania where most of the official servers are dead, but it gives me the idea that I could get raided any minute, by someone with no motive, based on a tiny flaw in my base plan. And I'm not a PvP heavy player; nor am I any good at building a secure base! I just stack up on those T3's and hope it looks intimidating enough that other people just walk on by (although I have to say that some of those bases you hit looked pretty massive, and that didn't stop you). Nonetheless, great work on evading those people near your map room!
