The thing I enjoyed most about the 3 and a half months we sailed the Kimberley was exploring all new territory! New bays not in the cruising guides unchartered reefs getting in the way. If you get off the beaten track there are some amazing places to find! We found a super sheltered new bay we named 'Boab Tree Beach' to swim, before heading to the more known Hanover Bay. Don't listen to anyone saying you can't get fresh water up there due to a rockslide; it was no problem at all dragging the kids in for a swim!

As you have discovered, if you can find sand, water or other children, your kids are entertained when you can find two or three of those together it’s bliss. Still in awe at the experience you are giving your delightful children.

Wow, amazing island landscapes illuminated by your drone. And- wow again- a Baobab! (Okay, a "Boab".) I thought these incredible trees existed only in Africa, but I learned something. Gorgeous beaches. Disappointment at first on the rod... but then it's dinner! And now an expedition up the fjord: tough trekking but so fun and pretty. Great experience for the kids. That you do all this as a single dad is a wonder.

Boababs are only found in Africa Madagascar and Australia.. Madagascar is their true home with the greatest variety of these amazing ancestors tree's. Geologically they may have spread when Australia was much closer to Africa and Madagascar...

Thanks for another great vid! They are making us so pumped to do the Kimberley’s next year. Had to have a giggle about the kids taking so long to get off the boat when you are going to do fun stuff haha our two girls are the same. They will whinge while we are sailing about wanting to get off, next minute we arrive and we are trying to hot foot it to the beach and suddenly they want to stay onboard haha
