There are so many dabs around and one of my favorite fish. The deeper you go the larger they are. Yellow corn meal seasoned 375 fry oil, they cook fast. Sweet white meat , love the crunchy tail.back bone pulls right out. Nice boat.

James, it’s been a while since you uploaded your last video. I was just thinking that few days ago. Fishing for anything out in the water is better then staying home… I miss being on the water. I had rt knee surgery mid February and with my age recovery time is really slow. Love to join you sometime. See u on next video !

My wife and I went sanddab fishing several times last season while nearshore rockfishing was closed. We fished around 120-150 FOW mainly and caught many small sanddabs. She complained that it was too much work to reel them in and asked for an electric reel. I am not sure using an electric reel from a kayak is a good idea. I have been checking out KAIGEN Z 100B reels made in Korea.

lol. I would use electric reel for Sandabs. You can buy the tanacom 550 and will be easier for your wifey. Don’t know kaigen but tanacom is good enough. Also you can use electric reel for deeper rockfishing later in season.
