Just lost my comments but anyone can do solo and it is important to do so as to not be co dependent! BRAVO Campbell. I love LISBAO ,.... went there manyb years ago and was shit scared on my own but I did ot for four days... Also the circuit train to SINTRAis a gem!

If you have regular sink faucet, these guys make water filters Pur, Brita and now Zero water that can attach to your faucet. If you want cool, spray yourself in front of a fan. You'll get so cold you'll have pokeys! ; - )

Well done Campbell navigating those roads. Our Scottish country roads stress me out never mind being in the opposite side. Hope you both had some nice me time. I love Portugal, the place is beautiful and the people are some of the loveliest I've ever met.

I spent 7 years away from UK on solo travels and it is not difficult. Just takes organisation and the idea I had to be happy with my own company and enjoy the experiences, some good and some bad. I am sure you can manage 48 hours.

I travel on my own so it did make me snigger a bit, but given the choice I would love to share my travels with someone. It can get lonely, but also it does make you feel excluded, couples rarely talk to someone travelling on their own, maybe they think we are weird 😊. I also had a very sad moment today at the Verdon Gorge, where I would have loved to have hired a kayak or pedalo but they were all two man 🥴
