The kind folks out at Solo Stove were nice enough to send me out this Solo Stove and Cook Pot combo for review. I haven't used a wood burner before and this stove just might be replacing my gas stove because of its ease of use, efficiency and low carbon footprint.
Its solid stainless steel construction guarantees decades of abuse and this stove looks like it will take every punch without a problem.

Great combo; I love mine! Good review and demo. I watched a guy from the UK who was using this particular duo. He had a flexible strip of aluminum flashing that was a couple inches wide that he placed almost all the way around the pot stand (leaving a spot open where you could still load in wood). That was his windscreen because the wind was really howling around him. It seemed to work perfectly. Hey, thanks for the video, brother.

One thing....how many minutes to boil?

Hello, boil time for 16oz of cold water from the sink was just under 8 minutes. I imagine the type of wood makes a difference in boil times as some wood burns hotter than others. Thanks for your comment and consider subscribing if you haven't already

Cool stove, great review. Just one nitpick. "Carbon footprint" means greenhouse gas emissions, namely carbon dioxide and methane. Carbon dioxide results from the combustion of ANY organic material which includes wood and alcohol, not just petroleum products.
