Great video, is there an electric down-rigger that is inexpensive you would recommend. Have a blessed day.

I would look online for some used Cannon riggers.

A bit curious here.... Are those fly/noodle rods in your downriggers? Cool technique. I'm a baitcaster, dipsy, rigger, planers. 1:1 gear is pretty hardcore. Long lines at 4/3:1 is enough for me!

Question when reeling in salmon why do you guys keep trolling forward? I only fish for pike/bass/pickerel

Hi Shaun!, Great fishing, me and my father are trying to make a trip out to Ontario maybe next month (October) do you think its too late to try for some salmon? We've never been before but he got a new boat and want to try some new waters. Also new to down rigging but we plan on trying it out there. Cheers and tight lines! :D

Its pretty much done now, most big/adult Salmon are in the creeks now. This time of the year you'd need to go deep, 300ft plus, you may hit some bows out there too. Good luck!

Love seeing the mooching rig! What rod are you using?

Glad to see you back mate. great time on the big pond. How far behind the cannon ball do you run your flasher and you were up to 3.1 mph will the flasher rotate too much at that speed. Wait a minute you were catching fish so obviously it worked..... Take Care mate and glad to see you back.
@ShaunOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Michael, I was running my flashers between 12ft and 14ft behind the ball, cheers 🍻👍

Dude, never hang a fish on a hook vertically and then release it. That fish is just about dead.

Fish handling practices like this are ridiculous! If you promote this fishery don’t keep fish out of the water for 30 seconds, don’t stuff your hands in their gills to hold them, and get a decent release on them.
