Shelved my 12 Rogue as a my main when it became a coin flip if I would come out on top against a blue con. Even light blues and greens I would have to med between pulls.

I saw a video of a rogue at like 15 or 16 that showed how he solos was pretty good. snuck behind blew load, trapped , snuck away to regen stood behind blew load and it was dead. he killed two dark blue/white mobs in the 1.5 min video

wizard is the top of A tier, arguably bottom of S tier. I solo yellows and even light oranges at lvl 24 using about 25% of my mana, sometimes a bit more if I get some unlucky resists. But I am on to the next mob in maybe 15-20 seconds after a kill.

@KriddleKraddle I have come back after directly competing with a necro my level in EP soloing Grazers. My Wizard is more efficient and can continually kill at a higher rate. But I cannot compete with a necro when it comes to soloing elite mobs. Necros can solo some elites within a certain level range, using specific methods that a Wizard cannot match. But in terms of raw efficiency I believe the Wizard is infact S tier. I have not compared myself to a similar level Summoner yet though. I have fine-tuned my rotation (which changes as I manage focus regeneration) to a point where I am using about 10% mana to down a mob in roughly 30sec and finishing the fight at full focus or only a a few "ticks" away from full focus. Edit: The necro was a competent player and certainly provided a good baseline.

Rolled a Halfling Rogue as my first character... didn't realize how hard mode that was until I switched to a Human Monk. The starting zone/community makes such a big difference. The monk heal is solid (Resonating Chi maybe?) and if you always end your fight it, you should be at nearly full health to roll into the next fight. I agree with a solid A-tier for them. Besides that, being able to use Feign Death to split grouped up mobs can help with social aggro and allow you to solo in areas that some other classes can't.

Shaman is awesome, i solo with the greatest of ease, and if sht gets dicey i just sprint away and laugh. I haven't bothered to level my summoner because i'm waiting on Gnome, and i also lowkey hate the shards mechanic. Wish they gave us elemental damage nukes like EQ/EQOA. Might mess with Necro soon, but been taking a break since hitting 12 with my Shammy.

@@bigguy130 Shaman pet is basically just a DoT. It becomes ineffective and about 14, and useless by 17, because it does not scale. Feels OP/unstoppable from like 10-12 though. Shaman get 3rd Dot (4th if you count pet) at 11, and Skymanes (attack speed buff) at 12.

The Shaman pet never tanks. I'm not sure what the tanking comment is based on. It doesn't hold threat if you even cast a single heal. It's just a DPS add when solo.

Maybe I'm one of those who don't play enchanter well, or maybe my level is too low but I'd drop them to C tier. I can do at most 2 mobs before resting and the holds don't hold all that well. He's lvl 8 though so maybe it gets better?

Not sure about chanter being B tier. Enchanter being able to Mez -> Delayed wound spam makes them kind of broken solo. Yellow and some orange mobs don't even pose a threat so long as you can reliably Mez them.

@@KriddleKraddleit may take a bit longer to kill a mob but since it’s so mana efficient u can kill 2-3 before resting. It’s also extremely safe which is imo more important than time to kill. Since u run far less risk of loosing xp to death. Obv pet classes will still be stronger but id rather solo as enchanter than ranger. Can even solo named this way without issue. It can also be completely macroed so u do even less than a summoner.

Monks have a higher sustain DPS than Ranger at moment but I expect that to change since Rangers bow/arrows are currently broken and Ranger bow skills arent scaling up with higher level content as it should.

I got tired of waiting on groups with caster dps so I made a Cleric. Light blue mobs will still use most of your mana and get ready to scream when they resist 3 cast in a row. Couple ways to fight 10 or below and that is cast a bubble on yourself and auto swing and use your free brand ability or blow all your mana with smite or the lower equivalent and hope it kills it before you die then sit....Slow is not the word for it. I hope they patch it because their damage is complete and utter dogshit even for a healer. Remove smite cd, increase damage and reduce the mana cost of bubble and smite while you are at it. It should not take you a full mana bar and 1 to1.5 min to kill a single mob lower level than you are.

I usually just heal a bubble the who fight and i fight yellows. End of fight and i'm usually still high on mana. Yes, it definitely takes a while. But you're not dying unless they have a special ability like waylay.

I saw the increased the damage in yesterdays patch and you can really see a difference but at level 8 I go out to boar ally and think Im doing something good by killing a yellow boar that takes forever....Only to watch level 6 of other classes walk by and annihilate them 2 to my 1. The amount of resist is crazy and can literally stop my damage to it for 20 sec at a time because brand does shit damage and swinging that hammer only does 4 damage. I have all base gear that I made.

@@Nofilter1976 I have crafted gear only with no stat bonuses at all. I open with one censure and use divine brand on CD. Other than that, all weapon swings from a 4 damage weapon. It takes a little while, but at no time am I ever in threat of dying. At end of fight I am usually almost on full mana. I could spend more mana to kill a little faster, but I take the extra 15 seconds or so and it's safer and I never sit. Yes, it is slow. But at no time am I in danger. I tried the same with the same level warrior and I am at half health or less after fight, and one time got extra agro from a wolf and had to run or I would have died. My cleric could have easily out-healed the wolf's damage until I was done with the boar. The rogue is even worse off than the fighter. You can solo, but you better make sure it is blue con or lower. Even cons are a crap shoot. Summoner make every fight a joke. Best soloer in the game by a far stretch.

@@brodywright9395A large portion of those high level players run a static group. Without that you’re forced to pug which can be disastrous at times or solo. Solo is steady xp if you stay in level appropriate areas.

I think Summoner is the only S tier. Necromancer, with the absense of root rot and a good pet, are not S tier imho. I got pretty frustrated with the necro. Summoner is amazing but boring. Ranger is a lot of fun and has some fun mechanics.

You can snare and you can Fear. You can kite and reverse kite. Necromancer's is probably the most versatile class in the game. If you can snare it, you can kill it.

They do get a snare around lv 12 I think but you only use it to get away running as you cant kite with a dire lord you have to melee

I had to laugh at you putting cleric at B tier.. I've not played all classes yet.. just a few, but bar none, the most reliable, soloable class for me has been cleric. You just need some decent armor and keep yerself shielded then manage your mana and nothing stops you.

@@darkwulf2k mana isn't even normally the bottleneck it is focus... if you are dumping all of your different focuses you will sit alot longer waiting for both mana and focus... only ever use 1 focus type and if you do use another have the thing that instant recharges it and only use that other focus type when the cooldown is up.... mana should almost always be near full

Allowing u to hit really hard while it's mezed. The fights take a little longer. But u can kill orange mobs and chain kill them over and over. Even in shitty gear.

Enchanter lvl17 here. If we're talking about solo play for XP, we agree that you should aim for white, yellow, and maybe orange mobs. Otherwise, the time spent isn't worth it. With white and yellow, there aren't really any issues; we can actually go for the Mez and Delayed Wound technique. In this case, you’ll end up with very little mana in the early levels, but by level 17, you’ll have about half your mana left, and you can improve that by using the spell that drains 30% of the mob's mana over 10 seconds (then doing a root instead of a mez at that point). However, with orange mobs, it's extremely risky because they will have a lot of resistance to mez. This means the mob will get to you, and while you're trying to cast another mez, hoping it doesn't resist, you'll take a lot of damage. And if you survive, your mana will be really low since the mob takes much longer to go down. There's another point to consider, which is survivability when talking about solo XP. And on that front, the enchanter isn't too bad, even though it still requires good reflexes. If you're comfortable with mana, an add isn't a problem. Otherwise, you can always flee after mezzing the add. So there is still a solution. Overall, in solo farming, you spend a big part of your time sitting around waiting for your mana to regenerate. That's the major issue with the game. It's hard to understand why, once out of combat, we should be punished by having to wait doing nothing... aside from it being "old-school"...

Not after yesterday's patch. The mobs in EP now have traits/techniques. Prior to yesterday they didn't have much (I think wolves had rip/tear, everything else (?) had none). This mean no need to slow anything; just toss on weathering and DoT away. Shaman have no way to interrupt, so its harder now; can still solo, but I agree with the A tier rating. They are S+ at level 12 though.

I am level 10 and I can't even handle an even tier mob as a necromancer. Wonder if its maybe due to my pet having noob weapon and cloth armor? Not even sure what the best armor and weapon skeleton pet can use in this game. Have tried weapon and shield combo, dual wield and two handed weapon for the skeleton pet but not sure which is best.

False. Not all the classes can solo quite well till level 9. Warriors struggle hard early levels, clerics never die, just slow as heck dps. Direlords are almost ass imo until you hit 10+, then they shine. Rogues..well, probably worse than warriors lol and getting to 9 solo as rogue and or warrior was such a damn headache, so much down time.

I want to like this game so bad.... There's just nothing to do but grind. I hate the design choice they've made with quests being all but worthless in terms of character advancement. And after getting to lvl 20 - most of my gear slots were still lvl 10ish items. That's just not very fun.

There's nothing else to it. No rewards for exploration, no questing rewards worth your time - half the crafting is bugged and worse than anything else you find. Just no point to most of the game atm.

As a 24 Summoner, I can say with confidence you are doing it wrong and that's why it's boring. There are nonstop buttons to push and two pets to micro manage on top of your rotation. Spamming your 111 2 is not the rotation for this class if you're smart.

Great list and agree with them all, but do not see Shaman going below the A tier. Sure, level 10 was a god level, but things really do not change after that. Here, your pet is a dot and nothing more. I cant see it tanking Hill Giants, while I dot them up like I would have them do in EverQuest lol Just turned level 22 Shaman here and I still can solo orange con mobs without any issues and end the fights fully healed and most of the time with enough mana to go grab another one. Yellow and White mobs are fairly easy. "Waylay", poisons and other big attacks that most people cry about...do not even matter as you just heal right thru them all. They have already said on Discord that they will be giving Shaman a new pet spell every 10 levels, so that will help! Was hoping it was going to be this patch lol... Also...Shaman...you CAN buff your own pet lol, I see so many that dont put their buffs on their pet...that haste buff makes a difference for the pet/extra small dot as I call him.

Level dependent for sure. Shaman is bonkers at L10, and falls off based on current skill/spell/traits tree. I was over doing the new lost orcs in AVP yesterday. It was me (22 Sham), and a 16 Necro. We are both adequately/similarly geared. We grouped, but did separate mobs (clearing double pulls.) While I did have him and hit pet shammy buffed, we were nearly identical in TTK. Necro's are very powerful soloers.

I watch a guild rogue solo mobs with little effort. It’s a player skill issue not a class issue. 3rd or 4th best solo dps in the game and 100% chance to get away safe.

At 14, I can usually solo dark blues, but it can be dicey and dangerous if I have any bad luck at all in the fight. And I'm pretty confident it will only get worse at higher levels. Rogues can burst things down to 50% really fast, but then you just sit there trading blows with the monster. You can try and get creative and caltrops them to run around a bit, but then you aren't doing any damage to them either. Calling them the third or fourth best solo class is ridiculous. Rogue is really fun to play, and I don't think they need to drastically improve their solo capabilities or anything, but putting them D tier seems right to me.

all classes are incomplete, some of them are just bare bones, some classes need a full overhaul shaman and pally seem the most play ready, summoner is awful the decision to make you buy better version of existing spells (every 4-5 levels) instead of the spells scaling with your level is awful, that is an archaic EQ mechanic that must be abandoned this means that spells are OP when you get them but nearly useless the last level before upgrade, this is incredibly frustrating when trying to level up

Mhm, you definitely haven't played Shaman. A tier lol. This is absolutely bar none the best solo class in the game.

wait till you hit 20. your pet never upgrades so it is render useless past 16 or so. your dots do not upgrade either, so your damage output is the same at lvl 12 as it is 35. Your time to kill at 30 is about 3-4 mins a mob. sure you have zero downtime and will not die, but the time to kill is so bad at higher levels that soloing is not feasible. At 32+, soloing will take about 2-3 hours per bubble of exp. An efficient group will be about half of that time. And an efficient summoner can prob get a bubble an hour

I know this is a video about soloing, and which classes seem to be better at it than others. But something everyone should keep in mind is that Pantheon was designed first and foremost to be a group-centric game. Almost every facet of the game is designed to promote class interdependency and players needing to interact with each other. Soloing is fine if you can't find a group, and Joppa has stated that soloing should be viable, if not necessarily optimal. Please, interact with your fellow players in the game. Make some friends. Find or form a guild of like-minded players and group up whenever possible. That's where this kind of game is truly at its best. Solo when you have to, or when you don't have much time. But please try to make some time for grouping and dungeon crawling. It's the best part of the game.
